The Newport Beach Arts Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation, was formed to raise tax-deductible funds for programs beyond those available through city funding. Its aim is to enrich the cultural life of Newport Beach and propel it into the next millennium. The focus of the Newport Beach Arts Foundation will be on presenting stimulating and innovative events in the visual and performing arts. The Foundation plans to sponsor publicly accessible dance, theatre and musical performances, film projects, literary readings, art in public places programs, visual arts exhibitions, and other explorations of the creative process. One of the Foundation's goals is to raise funds for a community cultural arts center.
