Application Process

We welcome you to apply for employment with the City of Newport Beach.  Please note, applications are only accepted for current recruitments and a separate application must be submitted for each position you are interested in.  Be sure to submit your application by the final filing deadline. Application materials are reviewed for relevant education, training and experience. Those applicants best meeting the City's needs will be invited to participate in a selection process which may include a written exam, performance exam, oral board interview and/or other selection process. Depending upon the applicant pool, all applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will not necessarily be selected to participate in the hiring process.

Prior to submitting a completed job application, be sure to read the respective recruitment notice for further instructions. Some recruitments may require additional information such as a designated supplemental questionnaire.
