The Public Information Office is responsible for the timely dissemination of information about the City of Newport Beach to the news media and community. The division oversees media relations, community outreach, and communication activities for the departments within Newport Beach City Hall and works closely with the public information officers in the City’s Police, Fire and Library Departments.
The Public Information Office also manages operations and oversees all programming for NBTV, the City’s government access cable TV channel (shown on Time-Warner 3 and Cox 30 & 852). NBTV produces 11 original programs, airs City Council and special meetings, and contains a community bulletin board.
