The City of Newport Beach operates numerous parking lots throughout the City. Be sure to check out the G.I.S. interactive mapping application that show all available parking options and their locations. Many of the lots offer free parking while those near the beach and business districts are metered. Approximately 2600-metered parking spaces are provided and the meter rates are either $.50 or $1.00 per hour.

The Balboa Pier lot is located at Palm and Balboa Blvd. on the penninsula. Cars are 50 cents every 20 minutes to a maximum of $15.00 per day. Recreational vehicles are 50 cents every 20 minutes to a maximum of $15.00 per day per space occupied. Camping or sleeping in vehicle is not allowed. Parking for up to seven days is allowed at the Balboa Pier Lot, which is convenient for those heading to Catalina Island.  On Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day parking is $25.00 per space flat rate.  Buses are $ 50.00 for up to 24 passangers and $100.00 for 25 passengers or more.

The Corona del Mar parking lot is located just south of the intersection of Jasmine and Ocean Blvd in Corona del Mar. Cars are $15.00 per day and recreational vehicles are $15.00 per day per space occupied.  On Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day parking is $25.00 per space flat rate.  Buses are $ 50.00 for up to 24 passangers and $100.00 for 25 passengers or more.  There is no overnight parking at Corona del Mar.

The City has several parking permit programs to accommodate the needs of residents and visitors. The most popular of which are the Annual Permit that allows parking at many meters and the attended lots, and the Master Parking Permit, which allows parking at any location in the City without further payment.
