One of three Qaeda suspects released
PESHAWAR: Security agencies have released one of three Al Qaeda suspects a day after his arrest on Sunday in the Shawar area of Matta tehsil in Swat district.
Muhammad Rahim was arrested along with his son Umer Rehman and a guest Abdul Qayyum from his house on Sunday on suspicion that they were involved in last December’s attacks on President Musharraf. He told Daily Times on Monday that the other two suspects were still in detention. Talking to reporters in Mingora, Mr Rahim denied that his son or himself, or Qayyum, had links with Al Qaeda. He called the raid at his house ‘illegal’. iqbal khattak
