Tree planting campaign launched
LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched tree planting campaign and asked every official to plant ten trees and every student to plan one tree each.
Punjab Forestry and Fisheries Minster Dr Ashfaqur Rehman wrote a letter on Monday to all ministers, district coordination officers and executive district officers asking them to plant more trees and reduce pollution. The minister said the chief minister had assured him of his full support. Mr Rehman also invited all non-government organisations working for the development of forestry to contact the ministry so that the government could help them. staff report
