Interested in applying?
If you are currently a freshman or a sophomore and want to attend the Louisiana School, here are the steps for you to follow:
1. Begin by completing and submitting the Student Application online. The application can be found on this website under Application Forms. This form can be submitted online.
2. Have your parent or guardian complete and submit the online Family Supplement. This form can also be found under Application Forms.
3. If you are applying for the sophomore class, request your Guidance Counselor to fax your eighth grade LEAP/EOC scores to the Admissions Office. Our fax number is (318) 357-3189. This does not apply to junior applicants.
4. A standardized test (either ACT or SAT) is required for all applicants. Register to take the American College Test (ACT) with the writing portion or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Please see the registration dates and deadlines below. SAT and ACT information is also available in your Guidance Counselor’s office. You can register online for the ACT at http://www.actstudent.org/ and the SAT at http://www.collegeboard.com/. Please note when registering for either test, be sure to use the Louisiana School code 6351 in the four-digit space for reports to colleges and scholarship programs. This code will ensure that your test scores will be sent to LSMSA in a timely manner. This test is NOT administered by your school. See test dates below.
6. At mid-term of the current school year, request an official transcript from your school to be sent to LSMSA. Your transcript should include: a cumulative record of your middle school years including final grades and a mid-year report of your grades from the current school year including all first semester grades.
7. Keep copies of all documents pertaining to your application for your records.
8. You may fax information to the LSMSA Admissions office at (318) 357-3189.
