From the Board of Trustees President

"My goal is to build upon the solid groundwork that has been laid and push the Foundation to its next level."

In order to give back to the institution that has meant so much to my family and given so many opportunities to my four children, I have agreed to serve as the next President of the LSMSA Foundation Board of Trustees.  I am humbled by this honor and thank the trustees for entrusting me with this crucial responsibility.

The LSMSA Foundation is undergoing a transition. A number of the long time officers and trustees are term limited and have completed their service on the board.  They have volunteered countless hours and done yeoman’s work to bring the Foundation from idea to the fully functioning entity that it is today.  We all owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their unselfish service and accomplishments.  I know their commitment will be passed on through the strength and leadership of the growing board and its newest members.

My goal is to build upon the solid groundwork that has been laid and push the Foundation to its next level.  The Foundation exists for only one purpose – to support LSMSA.  Support for the students, faculty and staff, and school facilities ranges from the Student Enrichment Fund, the Excel Fund, the Richard Brown Fund for faculty research and professional development, the Praecellemus Fund for visiting scholars, artists, and researchers, and physical plant projects such as dorm improvements and refinishing the gym floor.

As the Foundation grows, I plan to increase school support and take on larger projects such as replacing the existing dorms.

Thanks to each of you for everything you’ve done and will do to advance the Foundation. LSMSA is counting on your continued support.
