Ozomatli Plays Rayman Raving Rabbids on Wii

Ozomatli is a hip-hop fusion nonet whose hard-to-classify music spans a range of styles and genres, from Latin to rock to jazz to reggae. The band members are too numerous to list in this small space, though Jurassic 5's Chali 2na and Cut Chemist appeared on their debut album and they have since collaborated with Carlos Santana on his album Shaman. Ozomatli actually first performed in front of picketers at a strike, having come together through their affiliation with the Peace and Justice Center of Los Angeles. In 2005, the band won the Grammy for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album for their work on Street Signs.

More recently, Ozomatli has found popularity both with their original fanbase and with the constantly shifting jamband scene. They were the opening band for the third Jamcruise, which was held in January 2005 and performed at the Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester, TN that same year. And although most of you Weeds fans have probably spaced on this by now, the "Little Boxes" theme song was performed by Ozomatli for the series' September 25, 2006 episode.
