Jack Black Plays Wii Sports

Jack Black

Before anything else, Jack Black should be recognized for his contributions as exactly one half of the power-rock (mostly) acoustic duo, Tenacious D. Sure, he had starring roles in School of Rock and Nacho Libre (as well as the Tenacious D movie, Pick of Destiny), but it's his musical work with The D that he deserves the most love for. Oh yeah... he was also stole the show in some little-known movie from 2005, King Kong.

Black lent his voice to the virtual Carl Denham in developer and publisher Ubisoft's lengthily-titled Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie. He also had the honor of hosting SpikeTV's 2005 Video Game Awards. But it's Black's early work which we will always love the most. Only real fans can remember the several episodes of Mr. Show with Bob and David in which he appeared (that poor, down-on-his-luck expert), the much-loved HBO Tenacious D shorts (plus a cameo in Bio-Dome!) and the geeky computer specialist bit part he had in Enemy of the State (and that's just naming a few).
