ANALOGUE DISTRIBUTION OF DIGITAL FILMS

The current model of the distribution of HD formats is similar to that of analogue film.
It all comes down to the projectors that cinemas store. At the moment, most of the cinemas in Australia are still working with 35mm film projectors, and thus, films shot on HD are later transformed onto film to be exhibited.
National distribution company Sharmill Films still only distributes 35mm films, however they do provide digital DVD copies if requested.
