Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram is the royal temple of the Fifth Reign. King Chulalongkorn had the temple built to enshrine the royal relics and ashes of royals. Within the Royal Cemetery, Wat Ratchabophit, there are memorials in various shapes and forms, 34 in number, established at King Chulalongkorn’s command and dedicated to his royal consorts, sons, and daughters.
