Aphon Phimok Prasat Royal Hall is a small wooden structure, built in parallel with the area wall of Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall to the east, measuring 4.25 meters in width and 9.40 meters in length. It is built as an open hall, with a four-sided roof. The balcony to the east and the west is narrow, with double roofs, while that on the north and the south is wide, under four descending roofs.

King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) had Aphon Phimok Prasat Royal Hall built as the reception hall for the royal party on the occasion of a royal land procession, a royal procession to transfer the royal relics, and for royals to mount a palanquin and proceed to the Tonsure Ceremony, for instance.
