By the grace of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the Kingdom of Thailand, it is hereby announced that:
        Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana is the only sister of His Majesty the King who has shared the joys and sorrows of life since their early years, and is most highly respected by His Majesty in that she has always given him support as previously announced in the Royal Announcement declaring Her Royal Highness Princess. Furthermore, it is a well-know fact that Her Royal Highness Princess Galani Vadhana has been steadfast in her devotion towards the happiness of His Majesty in order that His Majesty would enjoy grace and glory. Her Royal Highness has represented His Majesty on numerous occasions, undertaken to dutifully assist the Princess Mother in all activities, both private and official, to fruition as well as being in close attendance to the Princess Mother at all times and unwaveringly nursed the Princess Mother in sickness, to the relief of His Majesty and His Majesty’s peace of mind.
        Her Royal Hihness Princess Galyani Vadhana has always been compassionate and desirous always that the people from all walks of life be able to pursue educational opportunities and enjoy good livelihood and good health. Her Royal Highness assumed teaching duties with great dedication and selflessness in many tertiary institutions. Her Royal Highness has taken upon herself to be responsible for administering the Princess Mother’s Charity Fund being President of the Kidney Foundation of Thailand since its inception, giving her patronage to many foundations and associations that are related to social welfare and public health, and has given her time and effort in administering funds, foundations, and associations to the best of her abilities. These funds, foundations, and associations have thus moved forward with considerable security and in such ways as to greatly benefit the country and the people. For these reasons, local universities and international organizations had awarded her with honorary doctorates and other honors.
        Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana has now reached an age of maturity. It is in her nature to be sincere and upholding of moral righteousness, she possesses an abundance of compassion that have manifested in innumerable activities of benefit to the nation and is thereby worthy of being invested with a higher rank in accordance with the tradition of the Royal Court.
        It is hereby commanded that Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana be invested with the rank of Somdet Phra Chao Phinang Thoe Chao Fa Tang Krom Fai Nai and to be known by the Royal Name as inscribed on the gold ingot as Somdet Phra Chao Phinang Thoe Chao Fa Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra.
        May she be blessed with longevity, happiness, good health, vitality, prosperity, and all other auspicious qualities.
        Given Unto This Day on May 6, B.E. 2538 as the 50th Year of the Present Reign.
