Tenant Participation

“My job is not only to ‘sound out’ and maintain a dialogue with tenants on all issues of interest and concern, but also to involve them in the management of their housing”

Dunedin Canmore employ a Tenant Participation Officer whose job is to develop tenants influence and involvement in how the Association delivers it services, either by getting involved in local tenants or residents groups, or by taking part in some of the groups the Association has formed to develop participation and consultation with tenants.  There is a Tenants Forum which meets 4 times a year to consult tenants on any changes to the Associations policies which might affect them and to listen to the views of tenants in order to make improvements to our services.

Tenant Participation also hold various meetings of sub groups of the Tenant Forum or focus groups throughout the year to consult tenants on specific issues, carry out surveys in order to gain tenants views and obtain information on how the Association can improve services.

Tenant Participation produces a quarterly newsletter called Connect in which we aim to give an overview of issues pertaining to tenants.

If you would like contribute to our newsletter or indeed find out how you can get involved by attending one of our consultation meetings, or get information on how you can set up a tenants or residents group in your area, please contact our Tenant Participation Officer, Harry Woodward, details below:
