Dunedin Canmore Housing Association is a Scottish charity (SCO34572) providing homes and related services on a not-for-profit basis working to improve the communities in which it works.  The Association also has a subsidiary company, Malcolm Homes Limited, involved in commercial activities linked into the community and landlord role carried out by the parent company.

The main activity of DCHA is to manage the affordable homes we develop in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. The range of tenures and client groups we provide services to includes;

  • General needs housing for affordable rent
  • Sheltered housing for affordable rent
  • Homelessness Hostel (Dunedin Harbour Hostel) for people in extreme housing needs
  • Shared equity housing for sale
  • Shared ownership housing for sale
  • Mid and market rent housing (Malcolm Homes)
  • Private housing for sale (Malcolm Homes)


The Organisation provides a management service giving advice on tenancy issues and also provides a full maintenance service to tenanted properties.

Over and above the basic management and maintenance service the association provides the following additional services are provided;

  • Welfare rights advice
  • Money advice
  • Training and Development
  • Private sector factoring Services
  • HR and Governance advice to external bodies
  • Energy Performance Certificates to external clients
  • Community Initiatives
