The Central York High School Panthers are ready to roar back to the ice as the defending 2010-2011 Bear's Cup Champions! After arguably the most successful season in club history, which featured a cup winning varsity team and an undeafeated JV team, Central York will again field teams at both levels again this season. The teams will compete at CPIHL's premier Tier I level where our skaters are challenged to exert their best efforts in each and every game. This year's effort will be anchored by returning senior skaters Kenny Gross (Captain), Nate Troupe (A), Jared Williamson (A), Colton Traynham (A), Clayton Traynham, Houston Brautigan, and Dakota Stabley. Providing stability at the blue line and in front of the net will be a strong junior class contingent made of CJ Belker, Evan Malachosky, Lucas Marchesani, James Mueller, and Stehl Taylor. Newcomer and classmate Matt Perkins will buttress their efforts. The sophomore class will bring it's talent and muscle to the ice with returning Varsity skaters Dylan Zavetsky and Steven Gross. Christian Billings, Katie Hackos, Adam Linker, and newcomer Chris Rizzuto will bring their abilities to this talented group. Freshmen skaters Brock Lefever, Ryan Moran, Collin Potter, and Nicholas Tranchitella will be ready to add their abilities to the club's season. Between the pipes will be senior goaltender Tallen Stroman, sophomore goaltender Stuart Perry, and freshman goaltender Bryan Briggs. The coaching efforts will again be directed by returning Head Coach Rick Lefever who will be assisted by Shane Stroman, Scott Jolly, Greg Troupe, and Frank Marchesani. The JV team this year will be led by Head Coach Frank Marchesani.A total team effort has been at the heart of the success for this very talented group of players and incomparable coaches. The Panthers are looking forward to another challenging and exciting 2011-2012 season!
