The Oracle was discovered in 534 AC, during the early years of the Age of Expansion by Graidlon Marrow in the very heart of Quarterstone, the first Shard to be thawed from the Undying Ice.
The Oracle is a deity of few words. Mainly talking to chosen people, it seeks to teach citizen of the Enclave about the significance of their presence and life in this world.
One of its most unique ways of teaching is the Ancestral Dream. Ancestral Dreams are a displacement of time and space provided by the Oracle and bestowed upon a single or multiple persons. It allows those chosen by the Oracle to travel back to certain past events and experience them as if they were part of time and space at that instance. Through the Ancestral Dream the Oracle hope to instill the teachings of old upon a younger generation, forcing them to think about their past, present and future. The few people who have been honored with an Ancestral Dream by the Oracle were Graidlon Marrow and Evhiel Muaun.
The Oracle is related to a faction named The Veridan. This faction is a religious organization made of humans and daevi worshipers led by the Oracle itself. Historically, the Oracle hasn’t always been perceived as well as it is now. Everything proceeded fine after its discovery by Graidlon, granting him an Ancestral Dream which eventually made possible the overcoming of the Princess of Skulls’ massive threat.
The Enclave of the Five Sacrifices was then founded under guidance of the Oracle. During that time, The Oracle showed the way to, Parliament, Mount of Heroes, Ringfell and then, Carnyx.
Because the Carnyx conquest proved to be an utter failure on many accounts, the Enclave found no one else to blame but the Oracle itself, who was discarded as their guide. In return the Oracle drew completely silent and wouldn’t speak again…
… Until another Enclave Hero would seek for the Oracle’s guidance. Evhiel Muaun, hailing from Mount of Heroes, is hastily brought to Temple District, for a great evil was nearing the Enclave. There, after almost 300 years, the Oracle speaks again and grants Evhiel the Ancestral Dream. The means of stopping the advance of Tykaru’s threat is shown to Evhiel.
The Oracle regained its status of guide of the Enclave, worshipped by the Veridan and by many citizens of the Enclave.
