Jamaican police say Pakistani cricket coach Bob Woolmer was not murdered during a March competition, but instead died of natural causes. Woolmer died in Jamaica after the high-ranked Pakistani cricket team was dealt a humiliating defeat in the Cricket World Cup.

The Anaheim Ducks are the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup champions. In California, the Ducks beat the Ottawa Senators 6-2. They played five games in the playoffs. Ducks Captain Scott Niedermayer was named Most Valuable Player. This is the first time a California team has won the Stanley Cup.
