A group of computer programmers at the University of Southern California developed a videogame to explain the process and show constituents how to win.

June 5, 2007 · This summer is expected to be great for business for Web sites that find low gas prices, such as Gasbuddy.com. As gasoline prices rise, and the summer driving season gets going, that site is getting more and more hits. Drivers enter their zip code, and get a list of gas stations with the lowest prices in the area. But these sites rely on volunteer activists who monitor local gas prices. In gas buddy lingo, they're known as "spotters."
