School for Belmont Kids Gets Boost from Barbaro
Anna House is a seven-day-a-week preschool on the backstretch at Belmont Park in Long Island, N.Y., for the children of exercise riders and stable workers, and it just got a huge financial boost. Barbaro's owners won the Barbaro Stakes in Baltimore and donated $250,000 to the school.
About 50 kids arrive early for a hot breakfast. They play, nap and eat hot lunch, and then their parents pick them up around 1 p.m. The school's goal is to teach the kids quite a bit of English before they go to kindergarten; for most of them, it's their second language.
Noah Adams takes a look at the program.
