PASTORAL CARE
1) Provide comprehensive religious support in the demanding context of the training environment
2) Provide pastoral care for all soldiers participating in training, the training Cadre, other permanent party,
as well as,
families members
3) Lead spiritual life activities:
*Perform rites and ordinances
*Conduct pastoral counseling
*Provide ministry through personal contact and participation in the soldiers` daily activities
TRAINING
1) Clinical Pastoral Education
2) Trauma Ministry
3) Battlefield/Medical Ethics
4) Grief and Loss
5) The Role of the Hospital Chaplain
6) Spiritual Fitness

Scope:
1) Provide training for Chaplains and Chaplain Assistants in MEDCOM, throughout the Army, and other branches of the military
2) Award two skill identifiers and one occupational specialty
3) Conduct two 2-week functional courses with training
at Brooke Army Medical Center, a
Level 1 Trauma Center
4) Conduct four 1-week Post-Graduate Professional Short Courses (PPSCP)

5) Teach into other AMEDDC&S courses upon request
