Provide instruction to U.S. Army Medical Department personnel on defense against nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) agents on the battlefield and on the threats posed by chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) agents to personnel both abroad and within the United States. Instruct Health Physics Specialty course students (91SN4) and Nuclear Medical Science Officers (72A) on the effects of ionizing radiation on personnel and measures to take to minimize its impact on mission readiness and execution. Provide instruction to outside agencies and organizations on recognition of and response to CBRNE incidents in support of Homeland Defense initiatives.
