ONLINE ALUMNI SERVICES:

Alumni can now use ALVIN, the online access point for alumni services at The New School. We have just begun the rollout of these services with the first phase, Communications. The Communications component allows you update your contact information for our database as well as for your fellow alumni (if you choose) and search for fellow alumni in an online alumni directory.

FINDING ALUMNI:

To start searching for fellow alumni, go to ALVIN (http://alvin.newschool.edu) and log in using your New School ID (begins with an "N" and can be found on your University Card) and your ALVIN PIN. If you do not know your PIN or have other problems with the login process, call 212.229.5662 x3784.

Once in ALVIN, click on "Alumni Information," then click "Find a Classmate." While you're in the directory, review your directory profile and make sure your contact information is up to date so a classmate can find YOU! (You can also update your contact information so we can contact you but choose to hide that information in your directory profile.) The alumni directory will only be as good as our alumni make it by entering information and updating the directory profile.

OUR DATABASE:

The Office of Alumni Relations maintains a database of all university alumni. All university, school, and department mailings to alumni use the names and addresses maintained in this database. (If you receive a mailing at an old address after updating your contact information with us, please let us know.) We want to stay in touch with you, but to do so we need to keep our information current. Please update your contact information in ALVIN or use the Alumni Update and Request Form to provide us with your current personal and business information.

HOW YOU CAN HELP US:

We welcome information about your classmates that could help us reconnect with them. If you can provide the address of an alum whom we may have lost touch with, or know that an alum is deceased, please inform us.

PRIVACY POLICY:

Please be assured that we adhere to a strict policy of protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your information. Only alumni can access the online directory and only the information YOU choose to show will be visible. We never give out alumni contact information without permission nor do we provide any information about our alumni to non-alumni parties. Alumni volunteers acting on behalf of the university to carry out class representative duties related to events and/or fundraising may obtain lists of addresses, phone numbers, and emails by agreeing to the terms of our privacy statement.
