Special Postmarks

The Los Angeles, CA post office at zip code 90052 was the only post office that could issue the First Day of Issue postmarks with either Homer Simpson or the entire family (for the color postmark) but other select post offices were authorized to use up to five different Simpsons postmarks (one for each family member). These postmarks naturally did not have the "first day of issue" banner and, of course, could use these postmarks on any day starting on May 7, 2012.

Special Postmarks
Selected Post Offices could use up to five different postmarks, using the same Homer "kicking a bowling ball" postmark design from the First Day Covers or using the four designs (Marge, Bart, Lisa or Maggie) below. We're compiling a chart below of the offerrings from each post office.
