Kingdom Hearts 3D shows off three enticing flavors

Square Enix announced details regarding the Japanese release of the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, and now my 3DS isn't looking so appealing anymore. You can expect the highly anticipated title to hit stores on March 29th, however no specific US launch date has yet been confirmed. You didn't think Square Enix would simply sell a Kingdom Hearts entry without making your choices difficult did you?

The game will be available in three flavors. There will be the standard release, retailing for ¥6,090 --which will include a first run bonus of an AR card that allows players to unlock an in-game Dream Eater. There will also be a special 10th anniversary package version, however the actual contents and price are still a mystery. What I have my eye on is definitely the limited edition bundle that comes with a special edition 3DS.

Personally, I really like the look of the handheld, pink with black is always a win in my book. My only wish is that there are a few additions other than the pattern on top, and that we aren't just dealing with a sticker. Are you going to start saving your munny for this adorable piece of gear, or is the Metal Gear 3DS more your thing?

Why can't I have Snake Eater AND KH3D?

But yeah, I am excite. I was hoping there would be a few more worlds, but hopefully they utilize what there've got. The series certainly seems to be on a roll after Birth by Sleep.

Dammit...I'd be all over this if the crown wasn't pink...
That looks awesome, and I'm not even a KH fan.
Wow. My phone flipped out. How embarrassing.
Meh... This and the Snake Eater 3DS aren't all that special. Then again, that's only because I have a shitty 3DS that has no cool skins whatsoever. Anyways, I give Squeenix one more chance. If they don't start working on KHIII after this game, I'd do something horrible, but haven't decided on it yet. It's been 6 years since KHII came out, and since then, we have been getting a new entry that just made the story a lot more complex, long, and confusing than what it originally was. Trying to know the whole story would also cost you a lot of money. Yeah, I know that Squeenix said they won't start work on KHIII until FFvsXIII was at least over 50% done, but holy crap, if they weren't making so much games in one single year, and not focusing on one single game, maybe they'd actually finish vsXIII.
I'd buy every edition of 3DS console if only I could afford it.
"That looks awesome, and I'm not even a KH fan."

Same. It looks pretty cool, wouldn't mind getting another 3DS for local multiplayer purposes, but I figure I should hold out for the 3DSi.
Damn, that pink crown is a downer.
I doubt that'll be coming to the US. Squeenix hasn't released one limited edition console over here yet, and there have been MANY. It's pretty sweet, but I'm happy with my Zelda 3DS. On that note, if there's a special edition of KH3D over here, you can bet your ass I'm buying it XD
lol at all the insecure men not wanting to buy somthing with a pink-ish (looks slightly purple to me) crown :L
It looks aaaawesome. Still, I prefer the skin I have over my Aqua Blue:
@Zaheer-you do that yourself? It's quite awesome:)
@Jesse7277:

Ha! I wish I had that kind of talent. Sadly (or perhaps fortunately for others), I purchased it online. Well, technically I got it for free, but it is available for purchase ^_^
Looks nice, but I think I will wait for the inevitable Pokemon one.
Do want especially cause I need a Japanese 3DS to play Project Mirai, but this is out of my budget right now so I'll just quietly long for it, and play my U.S. 3DS.
This one better come to the US.
Is it sad that I would consider the bundle not just for the awesome design but because of the bonus AR card?
"My only wish is that there are a few additions other than the pattern on top, and that we aren't just dealing with a sticker. "

I'm a little confused by this part, because I just got a Limited Edition Zelda themed 3DS and the pattern -I believe- isn't a sticker or a rubbing, and its actually embedded in the casing, under the fingerprint-magnet clear coating. Maybe i need to inspect it closer, but I'm assuming the Kindom Hearts one will do it a similar way.

Also, this one isn't unlike the DSi that came out with one of the last handheld installments, but I believe didn't make it to the US: http://www.toysnjoys.com/access_dsi/dsikingdomhearts.jpg
I wana play this shit so badly but the $170 entry fee just aint worth it :(

SCREW YOU EXPENSIVE HAND HELD CONSOLE EXPERIENCES
I still like my Zelda 3DS despite being a huge KH fan.
