About The AEI Legal Center for the Public Interest

In September 2007, the National Legal Center for the Public Interest (NLC) merged into the American Enterprise Institute to become the AEI Legal Center for the Public Interest (AEILC).

Michael S. Greve heads AEI's Transatlantic Law Forum, a partnership with the Council on Public Policy (Germany) which focuses on issues of constitutionalism and constitutional democracy in the United States and Europe. The Transatlantic Law Forum's first U.S. event was a two-day conference at AEI in October 2008 on Citizenship in Europe and the United States. It featured speakers from the United States, Germany, Britain, Italy, and France. Papers from the conference will appear in a forthcoming AEI Press book, coedited by Mr. Greve and Michael Zoeller, the head of the Council on Public Policy.
