The Course

The 2009 Course will take place at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, August 20 - 27 2009, and will offer daily public masterclasses and concerts. A Gala Master Concert and Young Master Concert will be held during the week.

Our 2009 Tutors are:

In order that participants can obtain full value from the Course, each Professor will accept no more than 12 students per class. Each participant will receive, at least, three individual lessons during the week. As we receive a considerable number of inquiries, it is advisable to apply as early as possible.

We can promise you an inspirational week at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, which is in a beautiful and central area of London. You will have the opportunity to meet and hear other young musicians of an exceptional standard, and benefit from working with distinguished international "masters" of the first order! Over the years we have had many return visits from musicians who maintain that our Summer Master Course is one of the best Courses anywhere!!

Concerts

There will be at least four evening concerts during the week when selected participants have an opportunity to perform in front of our enthusiastic audiences. In addition, we organise a Young Master Concert, which will take place at the end of the week. One person from each Class will be chosen to represent the Class in this Gala Concert. A Master Concert given by the Professors is also scheduled.

Accompanists

The resident accompanists for the instrumental, vocal and conducting courses are all superb. Most have been with London Master Classes for many years and offer excellent support to participants.

Practising

There are plenty of practice rooms available at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
