DisabledGo access guides

DisabledGo logo

DisabledGo is a free internet service, providing detailed access information for disabled people in cities and towns throughout the UK.

The guide provides information to help you judge for yourself which shops, cinemas, restaurants, pubs, train stations and other types of services are accessible to you.

Leeds City Council works in partnership with DisabledGo to provide access guides to shops and services in Leeds. All DisabledGo access guides have been specially designed to answer the everyday questions of disabled people, their assistants, carers, family and friends. For example;

  • Is a leisure centre accessible for wheelchair users?
  • Does a restaurant have a menu available in large print or Braille?
  • Does a shop actually welcome assistance dogs?
  • Does a hotel have a hearing loop and adapted rooms?

Over 1,000 venues are listed on the Leeds pages of DisabledGo. The website is easy to use and organised so that you can search for the kind of venue you want, and for the facilities that you need.
