Rémi Racine was appointed Chair of the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on June 21, 2012, for a five-year term.

He was first appointed to the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors on October 12, 2007, for a four-year term, which was renewed for a further four years on December 1, 2011.

Rémi Racine is President and Executive Producer of Behaviour (formerly A2M), a company employing more than 300 talented people and which he founded in 1992. Over the past 19 years, he has contributed to position Behaviour as a world leader in the video game industry. Under his leadership, the company has ranked simultaneously among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies™ from 2006 to 2008.

Rémi has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Université du Québec à Montréal.

An active member of the video game industry, Rémi has acquired a solid reputation within the business community. He is currently Chairman of Stationnement de Montréal, and is also a member of the board of the Fondation du Maire de Montréal.

Furthermore, as president of Alliance Numérique, the business network for Quebec's new media and interactive digital content, for three years, he was recently inducted into the Canadian Game Development's Hall of Fame as one of the pioneers of the industry. He is also a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and of the International Game Developers Association. In 2008-2009, Rémi was named President of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal after having been a member of the board for six years. His vision is the development of unparalleled games, in a creative environment where talent thrives.

Hubert T. Lacroix was appointed President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada on November 5, 2007, for a five-year term. He began his mandate on January 1, 2008. On October 5, 2012, he was reappointed for a second five-year term.

As President and CEO, Mr. Lacroix is responsible for overseeing the management of CBC/Radio-Canada in order to ensure that Canada's national public broadcaster can deliver on the various aspects of its mandate and continue to offer Canadians a broad spectrum of high quality programming that informs, enlightens and entertains, and that is created by, for and about Canadians.

Just prior thereto, Mr. Lacroix held the position of Senior Advisor with the Montreal office of Stikeman Elliott, a law firm recognized nationally and internationally for its business law practice. From 2000 to 2005, he acted as Executive Chairman of Telemedia Corporation and of the other boards of directors of the various companies in the Telemedia corporate structure.

Before joining Telemedia Corporation, Mr. Lacroix was a Senior Partner at McCarthy Tétrault, another major Canadian law firm, for 20 years. His practice was concentrated in business law, mostly in mergers and acquisitions of public companies, and securities.

Mr. Lacroix received his Bachelor of Civil Law (1976) and his Master's degree in Business Administration (1981) from McGill University. He has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1977.

Over the years, Mr. Lacroix also sat on the boards of directors of companies like Adventure Electronics, Cambior, Circo Craft, Donohue, Fibrek, ITS Limited Partnership, Michelin Canada, Secor, Transcontinental and Zarlink Semiconductors and of non-profit organizations like l’Accueil Bonneau, the Fonds de développement du Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and the Martlet Foundation of McGill University. He has also been a Trustee of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation and a Director of their private holding company.

Just before he started at CBC/Radio-Canada, Mr. Lacroix was included in the 2008 edition of The Best Lawyers of Canada. He also spent five years as an Adjunct Professor with the Faculty of Law at Université de Montréal where he taught securities, mergers and acquisitions. He also taught the business law module at the Quebec Bar School for many years. Finally, he was among the first in Canada to complete the ICD Corporate Governance College program, and holds the certified designation of ICD.D.

Suzanne Morris was appointed CBC/Radio-Canada's Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective April 2009.

In addition to being responsible for all aspects of financial management and business development for Canada's national public broadcaster, Ms. Morris plays an instrumental role in helping to achieve a sustainable economic model for the future of the Corporation.

Before becoming a member of CBC/Radio-Canada's Senior Executive Team, Ms. Morris was Secretary/Treasurer to the CBC Pension Board of Trustees, where she was responsible for the CFO, IT, risk management, benefit administration and secretariat functions at the Pension Fund and managed operations through a period of financial market turmoil and credit crisis.

Prior to that, Ms. Morris was Vice-President, Small Business Financial Services, at Export Development Canada (EDC), where she ran the line of business serving small and mid-size companies across Canada through multiple delivery channels and was responsible for the oversight of operations and related strategy, business and product development, underwriting and stakeholder outreach functions.

She has also held senior positions in risk management and internal audit for EDC, as well as at Deloitte, where she provided audit and business advisory services to large corporate and public sector clients.

Ms. Morris earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours from the University of Ottawa in 1986 and holds a Chartered Accountant designation. She is an Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario prize-winner and served as a marker for the Institute's professional examinations. She has lectured on accounting topics at the University of Ottawa, as well.

Ms. Morris serves on the Advisory Committee to the Dean of the Carleton University Sprott School of Business. A past Board member of the Forum for International Trade Training, she is an active member of the Financial Executives Institute and the Association of Financial Professionals. In 2011 and 2012 respectively, Ms. Morris was appointed a member of the board of governors of the University of Ottawa and a member of the board of directors of SiriusXM Canada.

Matt Galloway is the host of Metro Morning on CBC Radio One, 99.1 FM, the top rated morning radio program in Toronto

He has been working at CBC Radio for more than 10 years and has hosted the programs Here & Now, The Current and Sounds Like Canada. In 2008, he hosted CBC Radio's coverage of the Summer Olympics live from Beijing. He also anchored CBC Radio's coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In 2010 and 2011, he was voted Top Radio Personality in Toronto by the readers and editors of NOW magazine, named a Toronto Hero of 2011 by Torontoist, and a Mensch of the Year for 2011 by The Grid magazine. In 2012, he was given the Excellence In Community Service Award for addressing issues confronting diverse communities by the Intercultural Dialogue Institute.

Matt is a keen cyclist, burgeoning runner, voracious reader, proud Torontonian and messy cook. He currently sits on the boards of the Stop Community Food Centre and the Toronto Arts Council, and lives in the west end of Toronto with his partner and their two daughters.

In 1999, Rebecca Makonnen joined the ranks of MusiquePlus, quickly moving up to become a host and reporter for the station, and traveling far and wide to interview the biggest names on the international music scene, such as Radiohead, Bono, Gwen Stefani, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. She went on to host red-carpet events for Flash on the TQS TV network and serve as arts reporter for the ICI Radio-Canada TV program, On fait tous du show business and the ICI Radio-Canada Première show,C'est bien meilleur le matin. From 2009 to 2011, she hosted the public broadcaster's Canada Day celebrations in both official languages live from Parliament Hill in Ottawa. A huge music enthusiast, she hosted for four years the musical variety show Studio 12, a one-of-a kind creative space that paired the stylings of a number of our top homegrown musicians together. The show was recorded before a studio audience in Radio-Canada's Studio 12, then broadcast on its TV, radio and web platforms. Rebecca's a regular guest on ICI Radio-Canada Première and CBC Radio, and you may also remember seeing her on Guide Resto Voir, Musicographie, Débat MusiquePlus and C'est juste de la TV. Loulou magazine did a fashion report on her style, and she's been on the cover of Souche fashion magazine. She was co-president of honour, along with Bernard Derome, of CBC/Radio-Canada 75th anniversary celebrations. She currently hosts Circuit Makonnen weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Espace musique.

Though familiar to hundreds of thousands of Canadians as the host of CBC's comedy hit The Debaters, it is as an international, headlining, stand-up comedian that Steve Patterson shines brightest.

For over a decade, Patterson has performed annually in nationally televised comedy festival galas. In 2010, while recording his third Just For Laughs gala, Patterson not only earned a Gemini nomination, but his most precious praise yet from host and comedy icon Steve Martin who proclaimed: "If I'd known he was going to be THAT good I would have cancelled him."

Patterson's trademark wit is well-sought after to also host productions where top-notch stand-up comedy is appreciated, including but not limited to: the Canadian Comedy Awards (2011); Industry gala nights for both the Geminis (2011) and Canadian Screen Awards (2013); and CBCs Short Film Face Off (2011 & 2012). He also won Canada’s Best Male Stand-Up at the 2011 and 2013 Canadian Comedy Awards.

In 2013 Patterson continues his duties with The Debaters. He is also touring his first solo stand-up theatre tour across Canada, expressing all the opinions he doesn't get to express as the moderator of The Debaters in his one-man show This Is Not Debatable.

Jean-Sébastien Bernatchez took up hosting duties this fall on L'heure du monde from 6 to 7 p.m. on ICI Radio-Canada Première. He's also a regular on the regional Greater Montreal show C'est pas trop tôt! Prior to that, he'd hosted Classe économique since fall 2009.

Bernatchez began working for the public broadcaster in 1999. Throughout his career as host and reporter, he's always shown great interest in business news. After working as a reporter, he went on to host the morning shows in Regina, Rouyn-Noranda, and Trois-Rivières, and also filled in as host for the Ottawa and Quebec City shows. In 2008, he took the helm of the business magazine L'heure des comptes during the summer and the holiday season.

Before embarking on his career in the media, Bernatchez practised law, for the most part as a litigator on commercial and corporate cases. He also gained experience in civil liability, as well as labour, insurance, intellectual property and Canadian judiciary disciplinary law.

Jean-Sébastien Bernatchez has a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from Quebec City's Université Laval. He also studied common law as part of Justice Canada's Civil Law / Common Law Exchange Program at Université de Sherbrooke and Dalhousie University in Halifax. Finally, he completed basic copyright training at McGill's School of Continuing Studies in Montreal.

Anna Maria Tremonti has been the host of CBC Radio One's The Current since it first burst onto the airwaves in November of 2002.

She brings a mix of hard-edged journalism and hard-won empathy to a 90-minute program that tackles everything from the politics of the day, to the changes that affect our society, to the stories of individuals whose personal journeys and traumas affect us all.

The Current marked her return to radio after 19 years with CBC Television, including two years as a host of the flagship investigative program the fifth estate. For nine years she was a foreign correspondent for The National, based in Berlin, London, Jerusalem and Washington. Her assignments abroad included ongoing coverage of the war in Bosnia, the fall of communism, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as well as the politics of the Arab world, Europe and the United States. Prior to that, Anna Maria reported from Parliament Hill, and worked as a reporter in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Alberta. She began her career in private radio, at CKEC in New Glasgow Nova Scotia.

She has won two Gemini awards, and a life Achievement Award from Women in Film and Television Toronto. Her awards with The Current include: The NY Festival – Gold for Best Talk Special: Interview (2009), Bronze for Best Talk Show Host (2008), Bronze for Best Coverage, Breaking News Story Longform (2007), Silver for International Programming – Talk Special, Host Driven (2006); RTNDA Information Program Award (2006); Science in Society Journalism Award (2006); South Asian Journalists Association, Best Special Project – Kabul (2004).

Anna Maria is a graduate of the Communications Studies program at the University of Windsor. She has honorary doctorates from the University of Windsor and Carleton University in Ottawa.

He's the newest member of the fifth estate team, but Mark Kelley has a career that spans more than two decades at CBC News, including his award-winning work as an investigative journalist as co-host of CBC News: Disclosure.

Most recently, Kelley hosted Connect, CBC News Network's prime time news program that highlighted the personal stories behind the day's headlines. Kelley has built his career connecting with Canadians. Whether he was spending seven days as a teacher in a struggling B.C. school, or living in a homeless shelter in Montreal, Kelley has always gone one step further to tell the stories that matter to Canadians.

Kelley has been front and centre for some of the most dramatic stories in recent memory – from his coverage of Canada's mission in Afghanistan to reporting from the middle of the Arab Spring's revolutionary rise in Tahrir Square to his dramatic live coverage of the 9/11 attacks when he was host of CBC News: Morning.

As the face of Connect, Kelley won a Gemini Award in 2011 for Best Host or Interviewer in a News Information Program. He has won four other Geminis for his work with CBC News: Disclosure, The National, CBC News: Morning and CBC's Beijing Olympic broadcast.

Originally from Montreal, and a graduate of Concordia University, Kelley, his wife and four boys live in Toronto.

Catherine has over 25 years' experience in broadcast journalism, beginning her career with private TV and radio networks as a reporter, anchor and lineup editor.

At Radio-Canada, she worked for several years as a municipal affairs reporter in Montreal at the time of the mergers and demergers. She would later co-host the RDI and ICI Radio-Canada Télé morning news show, in addition to providing continuous live coverage of major news events such as the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, the war in Iraq, and the London subway bombings.

In 2007, she left to enroll in the television writing program at the Institut de l'Image et du Son (INIS), going on to pen two episodes of a Gémeaux-winning TV series and author two novels.

She later rejoined the public broadcaster with CBC North, first in Yellowknife then in Montreal, where she hosted the radio program Boréal hebdo.

Since June 2012, she has been anchor/producer of the weekend newscasts in Toronto.
