GLOBAL MARKETS-Dollar, shares gain on Yellen speech, U.S. GDP
NEW YORK, Sept 25 - World equity markets and the dollar advanced on Friday to end a rocky week on an upbeat note after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said the Fed was on track to raise interest rates this year, and as U.S. economic growth was revised upward again.
China's Xi says no basis for long-run yuan depreciation
WASHINGTON, Sept 25 - Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Friday there was no reason to expect China's yuan currency to depreciate against the U.S. dollar over the long run, saying the exchange rate was "moving toward stability."
