Our local BBC News Station, Look East, came round to record the Canary Woolf team for broadcast on the evening news probably next week. We talked about how we got onto the third series and how I make the zooks. Watch this space to see when it will be aired

Quote from the CBBC BAMZOOKi FAQ page:
Q Can I put wheels on my Zooks or make them fly?
A Zooks can't have wheels or fly. But they can crawl, walk, stagger, plod, creep, wriggle, wiggle and run!
Well Canary Woolf have cracked it and it's called really wheely!

Just received confirmation that the first show of the new third series is due to air on the 6th March 2006 at 6:00pm on the CBBC Channel.  This year, the BAMZOOKi shows are being shown slightly differently as we will be showing two shows, one after the other. We will be the first team on the first show!

Exhausted by the competition Bamzooki team Canary Woolf have returned home to talk about the contest. How did they do? Did they win? Only the nearest and dearest will know before the Bamzooki third series is shown on CBBC in January 2006. Suffice to say that they gave it there all and did themselves proud, as did all of the competitors tht got through to the filming. Canary Woolf say "well done" to all of their fellow competitors.

Our day of reckoning is here. Today we're going south to the Big Smoke to make our recording for the Third series of BAMZOOKi. We have to be in BBC's Elmstree studios for 1.30 for our first match and could be there until 7.00pm. If we do well in the rounds we will stay down there until Friday for the Semi's and the Final.
Will we be Third Series BAMZOOKi champions? Well we think that we have a goood chance but there are some much better team this year.

06 October 18:30 hrs
Wow, with only a few days to go now before our studio recording we've been sent some clear instructions by the BBC BAMZOOKi team! We've got to know our team zooks inside out and better still we get to take a look at our competitors zooks with the aid of an advanced version of the zook kit. It allows us to watch a short animation of the four opponent zooks. Can't say much more about it at the moment except I fancy our chances! BAMZOOKi here we come!

08 September 16:30 hrs
Bamzooki last call 'The studio recording of BAMZOOKi III is fast approaching.' That was the opening line of an email I received from the BBC Bamzooki production team. With a little over a moth to go until our team meets the other competitors we've been given a last call to send in our team zooks.

And did you know? The competitors on the show must supply four zooks that total no more than than 150 components? Tough?

Bamzooki may sound like a Japanese gameshjow. But in fact it's a BBC TV programme that encourages children to spend hours at a computer screen - with the blessing of parents and teachers.

One busy day! Arrived at Carrow Road (home of Norwich City Football Club) to start filming the introduction video for the third series of Bamzooki. Bryan Gunn (ex-Norwich and Scotland Goal Keeper) showed us around the stadium before he was filmed taking part in an exiting new part of the third series - Celebrity Zook challenge! (it's a bit like Top Gear's fastest lap in a reasonably price car, except you do it with a Zook). I can't tell you how he got on- you'll just have to wait until it's on air!

After that they filmed us at the ground and then it was back to my house for some more filming. We had to explain what are Zooks are like and what it is that makes them special.

12 July 16:15 hrs
I (Joshua) came home to find the BBC Goodie bag which I won had been delivered. Wow, what aload of great stuff! It contained:

  1. Red Bamzooki tee-shirt
  2. Grey hooded Bamzooki Sweatshirt
  3. Bamzooki pen (Looks just like Dr Who's sonic screwdriver)
  4. CD/Games holder
  5. Stickers
  6. Cool Bamzooki pencil case

Fantastic! I love Bamzooki!!!

07 July 12:00 hrs
Our Zook, 'j.i.m' has smashed the world record for the high jump trial at 169.8 cm. We've got some other world records up our sleaves but were not going to upload them until after the filming of the series! (Wouldn't want our competitors to get hold of the them)

Hey there Zooksters,

Thank you for all your cool entries to my competition! Some of them were very strange indeed! But, I chose the one I think was the best which was sent in by ZookBoy.

Just heard that we got through the preliminary rounds and we'll be on the next series!

8th June 12:30 hrs
Team Canary Woolf was interviewed by the BBC at our school (Costessey Junior) as part of a national tour, in order to select contestants for the third series to be filmed later in the year! We're really excited as it seemed to go really well. They seemed impressed with the quality of our zooks and thought that Trancheley was the quickest zook they had ever seen. Fingers crossed!
