"Wonderful Series" - By Bonnie Macker (Los Angeles, CA United States)

I watched this series for the first time on a flight from Los Angeles to New York. It is fast-paced, witty and keeps you guessing. I can't wait for the 1st season DVD to be issued.

"Best show on Nick since the glory days." - By A. Tso (New Jersey)

Ok, I'd like to preface this by saying I grew up in the glory days of Nick. When quality shows like Pete and Pete, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Are You Afraid of the Dark? were a dime a dozen. Lately I haven't been paying much attention to the programming on Nick. My, times have changed. Sure, I'd watch the occasional Fairly Oddparents or Spongebob but for the most part, it was programming aimed at very young kids(as opposed to the young adult crowd in the early 90's).

Consequently, I didn't think much of Avatar when I had first heard of it. I thought to myself, here was another show jumping the anime bandwagon and made to look like a Naruto clone. I gave the show a chance only through a happy accident and boy was I glad. I was hooked on the spot. Here was the diamond ... full review

"You must watch this show RIGHT now!" - By moominmamma

Wow, this is seriously the BEST show on television right now. I'm over 30 years old and I get more excited about a new episode of Avatar than I do about Lost, Smallville... ANY other show. I am a big fan of animation, and Avatar is like a breath of fresh air. FINALLY there is an animated show on television which is intelligent, exicting, humorous and surprisingly emotional. (I can't tell you the amount of times I've gotten teary-eyed watching it!) Yes, it's THAT good.

The animation is wonderful and the characters are well devoloped and engaging. The martial arts are fantastic to watch. The storyline is incredible - the writers for this show have a clear vision and every episode is linked. (Even now when I watch Season 2 characters from Season 1 will unexpectedly show up.) This is ... full review

"THE best show on TV ever (from the Acupuncturist-Qigong Mom)" - By Lori Gilbert (Sacramento, California)

As a fan of anime since the 1980's, and that being said, I'm also an almost 40-year old mom of three boys age 3 to 12, and a licensed acupuncturist and Medical Qigong practitioner in my home state of California, so I was completely blown away by the Avatar series. Not only is it better than my previous favorites, namely Robotech, and the wonderful Miyazaki classics like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, etc., but it is just amazing to me the kind of culture and spiritual essence of truth that it is spreading to the masses, and to our children especially.

I have had to watch the whole series over and over again and each time I have gotten more out of it. The animation and artistry is spectacular, the music dramatic and inspiring, and the depth of the story ranges from themes of suspense, comedy, ... full review

"Trigun - An amazing work of Animation" - By JamesTJeans (Ore City, TX USA)

Trigun...
This single word signifies the epic series that changed my view of Japanese Anime in nearly a heartbeat. Up until I was subjected to the story portrayed in said series, I was aware of only a handful of extremely wonderful Japanese Anime programs, specifically Ranma ½ and Dragon Ball Z, to name a few.
Considering that my view of Japanese Anime is limited to more-or-less the aforementioned series, I was a little unprepared for what lay ahead in the 26 episode mini-saga of Trigun.
For those not in the know, Trigun was released in 1998, was originally created by Yasuhiro Nightow (manga) and is directed by Satoshi Nishimura (Anime). It is the story of Vash the Stampede (Johnny Young) and his struggle to come to terms with his tortured past. Becoming involved along the way with the misguided Humanoid Typhoon are Milly Thompson (Lia Sargent) and Meryl Strife (Dorothy ... full review

"Nice and concise" - By VinnyC (Plainfield, IL)

This case is a standard double-wide DVD case. The art is just slipped behind the clear plastic sleeve. No need to worry about scuffing up a sleeve or cardboard fold out packaging. This does not include any booklets, pamphlets, or other paperwork. The only thing inside is the six DVDs. Each one is a different color with a different character on it. This case is a standard six-disc DVD case, each disc is on it's own 'page' that you can flip, similar to the case seen here [...]

Picture and sound quality are nice and clean. This dvd has a 4:3 picture, and you can choose either English or Japanese audio (with subtitles.

I would have given 5 stars if it included more fanboy items, like an artbook or something, but I honestly can't complain.

"From A Man Who's Mad About This Show" - By Highland Rob (Highland, IN)

From day one, this show has not disappointed. It has some of the best writing and acting that Hollywood has produced for a television show in a long time and it has the awards to prove it. It's a highly stylized look at a Madison Avenue advertising agency and the people who work there and has been extremely enjoyable. Season 3 has had the best writing and acting and the last 3 episodes have been the best out of all 39 episodes produced to date. You cannot truly appreciate season 3 without watching seasons 1 and 2 so if you are new to the series, please do yourself a favor and watch them before consuming season 3, you will not be disappointed.

"A Perfect DVD for a Perfect Show!" - By tcclives23 (Selinsgrove, PA, USA)

From J.J. Abrams, the creator of Alias, and Damon Lindelof (Crossing Jordan) comes an action-packed adventure that will bring out the very best and the very worst in the people who are lost.Out of the blackness, the first thing Jack (Matthew Fox, Party of Five) senses is pain. Then burning sun. A Bamboo forest. Smoke. Screams. With a rush comes the horrible awareness that the plane he was on tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island. From there it's a blur, as his doctor's instinct kicks in: people need his help. Stripped of everything, the 48 survivors scavenge what they can from the plane for their survival. Some panic. Some pin their hopes on rescue. A few find inner strength they never knew they had -- like Kate (Evangeline Lilly), who, with no medical training, suddenly finds herself suturing the doctor's wounds. Hurley (Jorge Garcia) - a ... full review
