What is Medical Thermal Imaging? Thermal Imaging is a phenomenal tool that provides earliest-possible identification and detection of many disease processes and risk factors. Prevention and even reversal of these disease processes or risk factors becomes a reality when this early identification is coupled with easy and effective interventions! Thermal Imaging is non-invasive and has no harmful side-effects.
We are so confident that Thermal Imaging is such an excellent screening tool for the early detection of breast cancer (and perhaps more importantly, the detection of changes in breast tissue that can LEAD to breast cancer), musculoskeletal, vascular and other medical problems that we are now providing Medical Thermal Imaging services in both Peshastin and Poulsbo.
What Can Thermal Imaging See?
Head
Hours before a migraine headache. Most likely allergy or sinus related, causing vascular dilation tracing the forehead leading to the left eye. |
Headache with an allergy/sinus condition causing vascular dilation tracing the forehead leading to the right eye with inflammation and drainage from the both eyes, more pronounced on the left side. |
Carotid artery inflammation, earliest indication of artery disease, years before occlusion. This is a pre-clinical condition, with no symptoms |
These two images are before and after cell phone use for 5 minutes. The cell phone activated the sinuses and submandibular lymph as well as indications of dental irritation |
Infection in the right eye, draining through the sinus cavity |
Lymph activation as a result of gum/dental inflammation. This patient had no symptoms, but his immune system was actively fighting a low-grade infection |
This patient has a non-malignant tumor on the right lobe of the thyroid |
Chest
This picture reveals an asymmetry over the left chest with a corresponding asymmetry on the back. This is an early indication of reduced function in the heart
The cold area just below the posterior neck is a thermal indication of lowered immune response. This pattern is evident in people with auto immune diseases as well as those who’s immune systems are challenged |
This cold pattern on the chest in the area of the thymus is also an indication of a struggling immune system, as the thymus is an important part of our immune systems |
These colder areas on the back are in the area of the lungs. This patient had never smoked herself but was exposed to second hand smoke most of her life. This would be justification for further testing |
Breast
Examples of abnormal growth pattern in breasts |

Medical Thermal Imaging was FDA-approved for Breast Cancer Screening in the early 1980’s. Initially, it was felt that Medical Thermal Imaging was “too sensitive” and had too many “false positives”. In other words, researchers initially felt that it showed signs of breast cancer when there was no cancer actually present. In fact, when the women in the study were followed, the majority showed positive findings on a Mammogram approximately 5-7 years later. The reason for this is that in order for a tumor to be seen on a Mammogram, it must have at least 1 billion cells. Most average-growing breast cancers take seven years to reach a size of 1 billion cells. Therefore, by the time a tumor shows up on a Mammogram, you have had it growing for approximately 7 years. Abdomen/Lower Back
This indicates intestinal stagnation and areas of inflammation. This patient is chronically constipated. |
The inflammation in the upper left abdomen is an early indication of stress in the liver, rather than liver disease. Treatment with diet and life style changes at this stage can avoid serious problems later. The patient usually has no obvious symptoms at this stage |
Lower back pain is one of the most difficult conditions to diagnose. Thermography makes it possible to easily identify the problem areas to assist in the most direct treatment |
This patient was suffering with pain in the back. The pain quickly spread and this is the second day when she was diagnosed with shingles, which continued to spread to the right side and abdomen |
Arms
This patient has tennis elbow pain. The fact that it is in the inflammatory stage indicates a quick recovery with proper treatment |
This patient suffers with shoulder pain, which has been diagnosed as arthritis. Since the shoulder is still in the inflammatory stage, treatment will keep it from degenerating further |
The bilateral glove-like pattern is an indication of early stage diabetes. Most people have diabetes for years before they have the first symptom. This patient has no pain in her hands, but the thermal imaging can see the silent damage. |
Legs
The legs are at great risk for vascular problems and most people are only aware of achy sensations, when sometimes it is more serious that suspected. Neither one of these people were experiencing any noticeable discomfort, but the imaging indicates a need for further clinical correlation with a vascular specialist |
This person has been diagnosed with RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy), a very painful condition that is often misdiagnosed. Thermography is the only technology that can correctly diagnose this condition |
This patient suffers with pain that causes her to limp when she first stands up. This images is highly suspicious for a heel spur |
