Some judges fought for their choices until the bitter end. Others grew weary, laid down their arms, and surrendered. But it was worth the effort. The GameSpot Best and Worst Awards provide a historical record of the year in gaming, and it takes a collaborative effort to ensure that record is correct.
Picking the games that are award-worthy is easy. Deciding exactly which awards to give them can be painfully difficult. In the end, we think we got it right. Some of you naturally disagree, so vote in our Reader's Choice Awards. Until next year, happy gaming in 1998!
