Danny shoots mice, cures sick people and makes the world's most antisocial bathroom in this random encounter with Theme Hospital.
Theme Hospital was a really REALLY great game for those that are into the whole tycoon type games. The interface is super clean and clear, everything is explained and you're never just sitting there wondering what to do. And this game takes a surprisingly long time to build up the difficulty making it really accessible to new players. Personally I still go back to this game occasionally, one of the best games in the genre IMO.
I think you can still get it on gog.com I recently got my copy there along with a bunch of other old school games. Great prices and plays on WIN 7 and 8. Good or Great old games dot com
This used to keep me glued to my screen for hours at a time. Amazing game. Sim games today just don't capture the same simplicity and enjoyment.
Hey, what about doing Urban Chaos on the PS1 (not to be confused with Urban Chaos: Riot Response for the PS2), that gaeme was awesome back in "the day".
That bathroom, intimidating as it is, can't be the worst in the world. I'm sure that prize goes to some indian "facility"
At least yours is clean :)
...well except for the rats outside
The graphic's not so perfect as expected. There's much to be done, actually way too much from that of Age of Wushu's! Despite the beatiful sceneries, the moves and the special-effects in AoW are cool! You deserve a try!
I would enter that bathroom, urinate in the sink and wash my hands in the toilet...in the spirit that insane bathroom
You know back when this was still new I thought it was mediocre. It looks better now compared to this generation of games.
I bought this game on ebay a few months ago. Its still a great game, I still play this and the original Roller Coaster Tycoon...good times :)
Genius as ever Danny. I think the best games to watch you playing are strategy types purely for the 'Oh Feck!' moments as something kicks off that you weren't expecting. With that in mind, any chance you can do a RE on a very old RTS called Outpost 2? With a number of random events in it, you're sure to go 'Fecking' mad :-)
at first i thought this was gonna suck, but once i saw that guys head explode i was sold.
where are all the comments? Are you losing your mojo, Danneh? I used to love this game. Thanks for playing it.
That screenshot @ the end with the awfull Hospital is from level 2 how can you fail so bad in that level ? xD (even though the first building has limited building space)
Anyways nice vid TH is an lovely game.
"and i dunno who that is" .... oh dear, Danny. It's an Agent from Syndicate Wars. Something tells me u NEED to play syndicate (or syndicate wars) immediately!!
Shame on u!
@mikemaj82 I can't random people get paid to analyze boring as hell sports. Rather my money goes to entertaining stuff like this.
One of those few theme games that was really great.
It was truly a hilarious game.
Also available from Good old Games for something like 4.99 if your interested.
Interesting game; some new game suggestions are: Gex [1994] and Chu Chu Rocket [1999].
I always put the speed on Slowest so I can build my hospital up a bit before opening it. This usually gets me a hospital (with most/all the basic buildings) and a bunch of staff all ready to go by the start of Feb. Just in time to hire more staff (at the start of every month) if need-be.
Also, before I even start building rooms I place 2 reception desks and hire all the good staff that is available (the staff list is updated at the start of the month, and they slowly deplete until the next month).
@The1stFishBone TA is a very underestimated RTS for sure. The shadow from StarCraft was too dark I suppose.
I only ever played it in single player mode though.
It has really nice music on the CD too if I remember.
