So the Expendables 2 game is actually fun

Yeah, I know. Weird, right?

I got a chance to play Expendables 2: The Videogame during San Diego Comic-Con, and found it actually really fun. It's a simple, yet over-the-top shooter that embraces the absurdity of the Expendables franchise. Which is shoot the f*ck out of EVERYTHING. The best part of the whole deal is the four-player local or online drop in/out co-op.

Expendables 2: The Videogame is out now on PlayStation Network for $14.99, or $11.99 for PlayStation Plus members. The game will also be out on Xbox Live Arcade on August 17. We'll have an official review for you soon, but in the meantime check out the launch trailer.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

Oh yeah. Buying the fuck outta this.
I call dolph lundgren.
Totally dig this!
The Stallone voice actor might have the best/worst game voiceover in history.
Goddammit, look at those signature kills.
Damn, that looks like it'd be a blast to play drunk with some buddies.
Demo was alright fun. Check it out.
Are you sure it's coming out the 17th for XBLA? I thought most XBLA games came out on Wednesdays. The Walking Dead game being the only real exception I can think of due to its episodic nature.
Played through last night, and it's true! Although I had a couple encounters getting trapped outside the environment, which I could only overcome by switching characters.

Strangest is in the first level, there's almost no cover to be found. Especially weird because by the end of the game, nearly every object rendered is usable(and completely required) as cover.

Unexpectedly met my cravings for a Cabal-style shmup.
Does anyone know if there's online co-op or local only? The latter is a huge deal breaker for me.
There's local and online co-op.

I didnt dig it too much, it felt super clunky and the enemies were bullet-sponges but still easy. The characters could've all used some sort of line-of-sight mechanism, not sure if the full game has those as upgrades though
was there ever an expendables 1 video game?

also "Unexpectedly met my cravings for a Cabal-style shmup."

that was the first thing i thought of when i saw this game! i miss that in the arcade!
A fun game based on a movie? What kind of sourcery is this?
Ugh. Ubisoft...
@pajolero
Those words below the header, they put them there for a reason.
Looks like a messy cluster fuck but ok sure.
Ugh, i played the demo, it was awful.
Looks like it could be a fun drunk romp
Its not fun, its boring and sucks.
I played the demo and hated it so much and i was looking forward to it.
I was afraid this was going to happen.. Not that its a bad thing.
Is a demo available for PSN?
Yes, go download it right now.
I think more movie-game cash-ins should be like this. Downloadable budget titles that are actually fun.
i heard that if you played as chuck norris the game crashed because the engine couldn't take such awesomeness
if at any moment you can play Stalone, Swartzneguer, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris at the same time, then this game will fucking blow my mind.
@dtomek
Right, silly me.
@Benjamin Dubroca

I totally agree. The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World game is a perfect example of how movie-tie-in games should be done.

Not sure if this is actually good though. Some comments seem to say otherwise.
