So the Marvel Heroes MMO actually looks good

Hamza CTZ Aziz, Director of Communications

Did you all forget Marvel was working on a free-to-play MMO? Yeah, it's been over a year since we last talked about the game but Gazillion Entertainment has finally come out of hiding to show off the first ever gameplay footage.

Marvel Heroes (formerly known as Marvel Universe) will be drawing from over 8,000 Marvel heroes and villains, allowing fans to become their favorite heroes, such as Iron Man, Thor, Cable and so much more. Players will be able to customize their characters costumes, abilities, and explore famous Marvel locations like the Savage Land.

The story is being written by Brian Michael Bendis, best known for his work on New Avengers, Secret Invasion and so much more. Plus you have David Brevik on the project, best known for his work on Diablo and Diablo II. Based on the trailer, it looks like the big bad of the story is Dr. Doom, who's just gotten his hands on the Cosmic Cube.

I have to say, I wasn't expecting the game to look so good and I'm definitely interested in learning more about it. Check out the official website to see all the revealed playable characters so far.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

Eh.. It looks like a stiffer version of the Legends/Ultimate Alliance games that Raven and Activision gave us.

Not saying thats bad.. But maybe a little too "safe".
I really don't understand why there isn't a Marvel MOBA yet...
A Marvel MOBA would be, like, absolutely awesome.
I'm going to play as the Punisher and kill Spider-Man over and over.
Doom w/ Cosmic Cube header image = Insta-gotten
Marvel MOBA? Always play The Sentry. Sentry so OP it's not even funny.
Stick around :D
Really? Dr. Doom?

I admit, he's bad ass as fuck. He's gone to hell and back literally and fucked witches and bitches throughout time, but the guy is a fucking tool.

I mean that in the literal sense, he is just the villain of the Fantastic Four and has changed throughout the years to just reflect them.

Also, the motherfucker is a Mecha Gypsy using magic as well as technology. That shit doesn't slide with me, pick one or the other.
F2P? UA vibe? Shit ton of characters? Sign me up
"Did you all forget Marvel was working on a free-to-play MMO?"
Yes.

"I have to say, I wasn't expecting the game to look so good"
Wut.

The "gameplay" looks like the crappy Ultimate Alliance game(s) and the rest was CGI. CGI is always supposed to look good, that's why 90% of the time it's used instead of actual gameplay. That said, it's Free-to-Play, so I'll install it and rarely-to-never play it, like Tribes: Ascend.
"Marvel Heroes is a free-to-play MMO Action RPG created by David Brevik, the visionary behind Diablo and a team of industry veterans assembled specifically for this project.

Marvel Heroes combines core gameplay elements of Diablo with the expansive library of characters from the Marvel Universe.

Engage in Action-RPG-style gameplay, but in an MMO world.
Team up online with your friends, or play solo.
Randomly generated environments are different every time you play."

Marvel Diablo? Sign me up!
So its Diablo with marbal characters
Am I the ONLY guy who liked Doctor Doom's voice actor in MvC3?
OMFG YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES !!! !!! !!! !!!
Oh and please for the love of all that is holy, Cyclops needs his Marvel vs. Capcom 2 costume, that's the only acceptable one for him.
I think Doom's VA in the trailer is Lex Lang (his current one).

@Jack8274: Doom is everyone's shared villain. Mostly F4 and Avengers but pretty much everyone's.

Him and Magneto are the most interesting villains Marvel has.
Yeah, Dr. Doom is pretty much THE Marvel Universe's villain.
Before MvC3 I would say meh... now Doom has the FOOT DIVE!!!
THAT FIGHT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE
This is awesome. F2p and its diablo style with a SHIT TON of Marvel characters to choose from. I am in it to win it.

@rammstein
I'm not sure what you're using quotes for....those ARE sections of gameplay, even if you cant comprehend it.
@TheRedComet Kingpin is also a big sharer, but he'd be ill suited to this kind of scale.
Dr. Doom also got his hands on a Cosmic Cube during the massive Secret Wars crossover, so storywise it makes sense as well.
Marvel. Diablo. Free.

I'm in.
Also, DOCTOR DOOM.

YES.
Looks like an MMO to me.
This doesn't look very fun.
HA, cable. as if anyone's favourite character is cable. this is not 1992.
well that looked rather clunky, but i love Marvel universe despite the fact that i never could get into their comics(just as into DC) due to the fact that you have to read dozens of different series in specific order to at least get what the fuck is happening.
since it's F2P i'll definitely try it, i just hope there will be some sort of encyclopedia or something that will give you information about the backstory of each character.
More like cosmic cum... I mean um sure I'll try this fit free as long as I can be Dazzler.
@Lord Of The Thunder

You're not the only one. I love the voice cast in MvC3, to the point where I'm disappointed in the characters' other appearances if they have different voices. I don't think this Deadpool is played by Nolan North which is a damn shame. He's one of the best characters in MvC3.

That said, I think the reason I enjoy the new Avengers animated series so much is because it has the same cast as MvC3. Maybe Deadpool will show up there one day. Rocket Raccoon and the Guardians Of The Galaxy did, so who knows...
Cable/Nate grey is a pretty awesome character in both incarnations
Uh oh, I let go of the cosmic cube!

You're too tricky for your own good Dr Doom!
If you can cloak and dagger, I will ejaculate my spider-man panties
I would be all over a Marvel MOBA since it's much more fitting for the insanity that iis inherit to comics, but this has been in development for to long for Marvel to even know what a moba is :/
@Daxelman There is always the 50% chance he randomly decides to just leave the game or join the enemy team.
