Vtoid: Storm's Adventures in Crysis and Left 4 Dead 2

Storm Dain
5:40 PM on 03.24.2010

The adventures for games from two years ago comes into its final stretch, with the PC exclusives Crysis, and the expansion, Crysis Warhead. Computer gaming is a strange and foreign beast to Storm, but the duty to Destructoid calls. Are these Crytek-created games worth his computer crashing at every turn, or is it just a beautiful disaster?

As for tacking on Left 4 Dead 2 to a supposedly unrelated adventure, just think of as Storm "taking care of a few loose ends." And the pressures of YouTube (and Dtoid) fame catching up with him.

Hold on, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

seems like no one on the internet can just enjoy or appreciate things
it has to be absolute to their liking
@jettpack : This
Storm finally got good advertising! Front page insures more views! =D
Finally, always loved Storm's videos.
who the fvk is this guy...

1: what kind of gamer uses a nubstick or keyboard and mouse obvious peasant is obvious
2: what kind of of person working for a game site "reviewing" crysis plays it on an outdated POS computer
Enossir your ignorance is blinding like the sun. Youmust have no clue what it is to laugh. You know its called being funny or whats that called again I just can not think of it wait..... wait for it....

OMG ITS CALLED COMEDY DON'T GET YOUR PANTIES IN A BUNCH CUZ HE MADE FUN OF A GAM,E YOU LIKE.
Fuck yeah! More Storm's Adventures!
@Haters
Storm's thing is to shit on older popular games in a hilarious fashion.
Storm is fucking AWESOME.

Ya'll just ignant.
Nice to see the vids aren't being tucked away on the site now!
I love storm's videos. I just wish he would brag about being a programmer so much. Seriously, yeah, a passing mention is fine, but the guy throws it in evey other video. Geebus.
Hooray!

I ate burritos with this guy while we watched Lionel Ritchie on the View.
Interesting. 10 minutes of incompetence.
I still love this series but you know

Sorry Storm, I have to say I wasn't in tears this time as compared to your other videos. I'm guessing what happened at the end of your video actually happened. If not, I do not hate, it was enjoyable none the less. However, I if may suggest, you should record your adventures with some B-movie type games for a higher chance of that off-beat humour that you're so good at. Yes, I'm suggesting you play bad games for the benefit of mankind. Or maybe I just have a thing for Mystery Science Theater...

Either way, you must convert the haters and make them realize that their adventures will never be as awesome as yours.
Storm Dain it's Now THE OFFICIAL DTOID (and gamer who likes YouTube) NOOB DETECTOR. Period.

Awesome Stuff Storm, We Want Moar =B.
Another great bunch of adventures, Storm. Can't wait to see more.
I see neckbeard ><
HA! He played Crysis with the graphics gimped! Really shows how mediocre the game really is when you're not marveling at the visuals.

I can't fully describe the allure of Storm's Adventures. All I know is when I see a new one posted, I can't play the video fast enough. Some of my favorite videos on Dtoid.
I'm going to go ahead and throw in my two cents here again (actual retail value worth < $.02) and say that I think the Vtoid stuff should stay on the video site. Doing my best to look at this issue objectively (because personally, I don't like any of the Vtoid stuff) I see consistency as an issue. Having a non-Dtoid staff member (and slapping a Dtoid logo onto the bottom of the video does not a Dtoid staffer make... anyone else remember Dtoid radio?) post a video on Dtoid's front page is inconsistent with the way the site is run. I mean, other sites' videos go up all the time on the front page, but they're posted by Hamza, Chester, Sterling, et al. Maybe a fair compromise would be to have staff post the video, then put commentary (or whatever) by the video's creator after the jump... Otherwise, you get 'Who the fuck is Storm Dain?' and rightfully so given Dtoid's history and brand.

All that being said I didn't enjoy the vidya. I watched part of a couple of Storm's videos a few days back on the video site, all of the Super Mario Galaxy video, and all of the one above and it just seems like he's trying to be funny, but it's not actually working. Your performance reminds of Pauly Shore in "Pauly Shore is Dead"... you recognize what has the potential to be funny and what is actually funny, but you can't quite figure out how to actually make it funny. I dunno... maybe you're really funny in conversations... you strike me as a good Podcast member.
Your so fucking awesome
But you don't understand her; she is far too disinterested to care buy primidone
