Storm's Adventure with The God of War Anthology Part 1

Storm Dain
12:00 PM on 08.01.2010

In this episode of Storm's Adventures, we're going way back. All the way to 2005, the year the original God of War was released. This is by no means setting any records. I concluded one episode with a game that took me back to 1978. But this is the first time I bring the PlayStation 2 into a full blown Adventure and for good reason. When I was rooting for Resident Evil 4 in the category of GOTY 2005, there was this other contender that I never heard of exclusively for the PlayStation 2. God of War? There's no way it could be any better than Leon Scott Kennedy kicking zombies in the neck and Ada Wong...in a tight red dress. Well, since I'm now a little more open minded, and I'm sick of fan mail demanding I make a video for Kratos and his Greek Mythology antics, I will finally see if a warrior's tight red skirt can live up to my unreasonable standards of quality.

Naturally, since this is a look at the anthology, we then leap into the just as popular sequel, God of War II. Some viewer thought this was going to appear in my ill fated series, GISHAOTYA. Of course, some viewers never listened to the stipulations of the series.

Both of these games are faithfully captured in 480p from a true PlayStation 2. Who needs HD remakes? I wanted to experience Kratos in his original form. Will he still pack a punch (or stab) like he allegedly did years ago? All of this is revealed in the video.

Also, this is merely the first part. Part 2 will be picked up by my future personification.

Also, bewbs.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

@12
Think of Dain as Yahtzee. He over-embellishes/exaggeratesclearly flawed points in the name of comedy.

And he is funny.
You sir, earn the longest retarded rant award. *Slow Clap*

BEWBS!
@ twelve51: Relax, he's just trying to be funny and entertaining. It's a part of his job.

You don't need other people's opinions to validate your own. Just enjoy God of War 3 for what it is and be ready for the epic failure that the ending brings.
Nice video Storm! I really need to play God of War 3, but this god damn school thing is getting in the way of playing all these great games.
I'm still trying to figure out the whole time travelling thing.
Like, how did Kratos take the Titans from the past into the present yet nothing changes?
It's like if I went and took baby Hitler into the present yet WWII still happens exactly the same with Hitler still there too.
Storrrrrrrms adventures! Best video Review series ever!!!

Also bewbs!
Despite playing the first God of War when it first came out, this series never grabbed me. It's like Superman comics. The story of each game basically boils down to "I'm kratos, for some reason, i'm really fucking pissed off and i'm gonna smash shit."

I've always felt like it was overrated. Graphix were fucking amazing though.
@Dreamscape
Same here, except he reminds me of Hulk.
What is with all the nintendo references? Nintendo is not related.
Opps, sorry. Forgot to comment. Anyways, Storm, now I love your videos to death. But, one question. Why do your videos have to have trailers on Youtube and then posted. Does desturctiod make you do that like how the AVGN uses trailers from Cinimassacre?
Nice adventure! The "Aeries!" thing had me rolling every time. I have yet to play GoW either and still plan to do so someday, though I'll probably go with the HD remakes. Looking forward to part 2!
I just want to point out that you did meet Chronos in the first game. He was the guy who had that temple or whatever with Pandora's box on his back.
I'm not watching this because everything this guy puts out screams, "I HAVE ASPERGERS AND ALSO I AM AN INSUFFERABLE HIPSTER."

Moving on.
i enjoyed it.
Storm - another great adventure. Editing and pacing were spot-on, as usual. And yer is funny too. Derp.
It's people like Storm who really bring out the assholes in D-Toids community. Good video, nonetheless.
@twelve51

Wait now. The Titans where taken from by Kratos into the present right? So from the point of view of "past Zeus" for example, shouldn't the Titans have just disappeared?
But how does all the Titans remember everything? And how the fuck did "past Gaia" know Kratos or why was Kronos pissed at Kratos for the whole Pandoras Box thing even though none of that should have happened. Argh, FUCKING TIME TRAVEL!
Now you're making me feel bad for not liking God Of War.

-You can call me an idiot for prefering and comparing it to Devil May Cry.

I'm sorry, Storm.
That was cool, haven't seen your other vids so will check them out posthaste.
Great video as always!
Do not stop.
Never cared much for God of War. Graphics, characters, story, gameplay... it all felt too farfetched to me, like 90s Image Comics. Maybe I should give it another try, but ugh.
Some people don't seem to understand you, your video(s) and people in general. I know a lot of guys/girls who felt the exact same as you when they played the second game. In fact, some won't even play it any further than where they got disgusted at. At least Storm is carrying on with what they're missing! Also, Nintendo doesn't have to be related to be in this video. He could put in Batman and make it relevant. Too much criticism I tells ya! Now here's mine.

I thought it was a good "review" and an honest one at that. Though if it was a bunch of bad games instead of GoW, it would probably be funnier, as this had more "Wow" moments than flat-out derogatory comments. It was funny, but your Sonic video is just amazingly funny. No hate, love the adventures! Have to play GoW3 now so I can watch the next installment.
EDIT is my friend but he's not here today, maybe he'll be here tomorrow?
