Iwata reminds us that the 3DS Miiverse is coming In a recent interview, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata dove into some interesting topics, most notably the Miiverse and how it came about. Iwata also reiterates that the Wii U GamePad can transcend just a gaming audience with multimedia. Although the history of the Miiverse has been touched on before, he also reminds us that a 3DS Miiverse is coming:
In some ways it's easy to get snarky about how Nintendo is finally catching up with the rest of the industry from a technological infrastructure standpoint: but mostly, it's just nice to see Nintendo actually heading forward and trying new things. The 3DS already has a ton of software and a booming eShop -- with the Miiverse to augment that, it will become an unstoppable portable force.
