Normally when we hear about the system specifications for a PC game, the developer or publisher sends off the bullet points and that's the end of it from their public-facing perspective. For some titles, however, we expect more. Irrational Games has smartly taken the opportunity to talk up the PC version of BioShock Infinite.

Technical director Chris Kline has written a blog post that discusses the work Irrational put into making this a step up from the series' less-than-ideal past on PC. Come March, expect to find remappable controls, DirectX 11 and multi-monitor support, higher-resolution textures, cloud saving through Steam, and control options for VSync and field of view, among other things.

Tackling Temple Run 2 for iOS at a full sprint

When I got my iPhone in 2011, I immediately started snatching up as many free games as I could to get a feel for mobile gaming before making any actual monetary investment. One of those games was Imangi Studios' Temple Run, a...   more

Final Fantasy: All The Bravest: Could have been great

I get what Jim was saying yesterday about new iOS title Final Fantasy: All The Bravest. Square Enix's offerings as of late are potentially good games that are hurt by their pay to play pricing structure, and this new one with...   more

Temple Run 2 hits the App Store this week

The absurdly successful iOS and Android game Temple Run is getting a direct sequel from Imangi Studios very soon. So soon, in fact, that it's already available on the New Zealand App Store and will be making its way to other ...   more

Here's the deal with Disney Infinity's price and versions

If you could somehow combine the addictiveness of micro-transactions with the uncertainty of card packs, you'd probably make a lot of money. Disney is going to make a lot of money. Just a hunch. In June, Disney Infinity, Aval...   more

There's not a lot I remember about the rampant imagination of childhood, but most of the good memories came from the depths of my toy chest. Pitting Aliens against Transformers. Imagining Cloud Strife's sword slicing throu...   more

10000000 is coming to PC and Mac tomorrow

"Ten Million" (10000000) is one of my favorite mobile games ever. It's a rather comical mashup of contemporary "match" puzzle games like Bejeweled and Puzzle Quest, and old school text-based Roguelikes. The only catch was yo...   more

Review: Joe Danger Touch

Joe Danger was the definition of a perfect downloadable game. It was reasonable priced, it was tons of fun, and it was packed with content. Naturally, since a lot of other people felt the same, a Special Edition version of th...   more

SkiFree and Rodent's Revenge out now for iOS devices!

The last thing I was expecting during CES week is that I'd be so excited over two retro re-releases of some classic Windows games from 1991 on the Apple App Store. Go figure. Yup, SkiFree and Rodent's Revenge have just been r...   more

Spiritual successor to Shaq Fu out now for iOS, Android

Shaquille O'Neal has returned to gaming thanks to Hiptic Games, the developer of ShaqDown. An appropriately ridiculous-looking Android and iOS title available as of today, this $0.99 game isn't going to win any awards for or...   more
