Marvel vs. Capcom 2 headed to iPhone next week photo

It was inevitable that Capcom would bring Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to the App Store. Enough people are going to pay up to make the port a success, despite our obligatory grumbling about games like this not translating particularly well to touch-screen controls.

The price hasn't been listed yet, but the company does have a release date for North America and Europe; it's right around the corner: April 25, 2012. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for iOS will have the full roster of characters and seemingly all of the other features you'd expect to be included. I suppose that's something.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

So this is what capcom has been doing instead of making decent games.
This is EXACTLY how I want to play my fighting games: with absolutely no buttons.
My GOD, no.
iPhone LOL

Its gonna play like shit
Goddamn enter button.

Anyways, slap screen get hyper.
Well I already have mvc on my 4.3 inch touchscreen android phone and to be honest it is a bit uncomfortable at first but after a while you get used to it.
In the words of Commander Shepard: "I'll take it."
the future of gaming they said ...
Death Mountain in Chrono Trigger taught ne well enough i need to put a lot of thought into my iphone games
Its going to be shovelware.............
Oh, yes, I can see it now:

"Comes with all characters, stages and costumes, all for 9.99~!*

*actual gameplay comes separately, because why should you be able to play a game that you buy without downloading extra stuff?"

Capcom doing something along those lines will seriously not shock me at this point. I hate those chumps, and this is coming from a Resident Evil fanboy.
They're releasing this now to promote the Avengers movie that comes out the week after it. I doubt it'll be that expensive.
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
There is not one iOS fighting game that touch controls "ruined" for me.
IM A MEMBER OF S.T.A.A.A.A.R.S
Bluetooth gamepad support or gtfo
Capcom: Because fuck you, that's why.
Really Capcpom?
Marvel 2 on Dreamcast, PS2, Arcade, Xbox, PS3, Xbox 360, and now iOS? Noone asked for it on iOS, but people on PC HAVE requested it. Yet still no release.
Of all the Capcom fighting games to get endless updates and bugfixes, THIS was the one that needed it the most but never got it. It's a broken game but they nailed the controls and reaction speed on this one. MvC 3 just feels like wading through molasses in comparison.
what a waste of time....
well, it's probably going to sell well so it's not a waste of time for capcom but really, ¿fast paced fighting game with touch controls? baaaaaaaaad
Everyone on here who owns an iDevice will try this game no doubt.
@Eterlan:

And its not like Wii people never asked for it either.

Get it? Oh oh oh oh oh oh.

Anyway, Im still bit bitter there never was a Wii port. Yeah, they said it wont fit, but Beamdog managed to push MDK2, a Dreamcast, PC and PS2 game, into 40 megabytes.

But an iOS port? Sure, no problem. I call them lazy.
"Capcom's going to charge for the characters! Hurr Duur!"
If they do it like SF4, ie translating the controls into a simplified 4 button layout, 2 punches 2 kicks, the game will be fine.
The iPhone 4S is more powerful than the Dreamcast or original Xbox. There's no reason that this port should be audio/visually compromised in any way.
I'll buy it when it's a dollar if it's universal in hopes of an eventual iOS miracle device that makes it playable.
Haven't tried the stick on buttons and joystick, but could be worth it.
Ha, the requires buttons will cover the whole screen!! Unless they have punck/kick and special... Lame
No thanks. All the other fighters were bad enough on iPhone.
Who in the world has a sane mind and also wants to play this game on a touchdevice ?
You'd think Apple would at least offer a *version* of it's iDevices that had buttons. That would pretty much kill the Vita and 3DS.
You are all fun people...
J619: Ghost Trick, all the Cave shooters, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Soulcalibur, Max Payne, Order and Chaos online, FF Tactics: War of the Lions, and Chaos Rings II would like to have a word with you.
ios is awesome for gaming, anyone saying its not, are fucking noobs !!!!!
Wow... Seriously? How can people enjoy these types of games when the controls and your hands take up 30% of the screen.
Also the price of ios games are getting too expensive now, games like final fantasy 3, chrono trigger and soul caliber costing more on iphone then the far, far superior versions on consoles is a piss take!
@SmithyX
In regards to J619 I'm guessing 69 lmao
Android phones please. This game will awesome with my hard keyboard.

Tackling Temple Run 2 for iOS at a full sprint

Here's the deal with Disney Infinity's price and versions

10000000 is coming to PC and Mac tomorrow
