License to Kill/Die Another Day appearing in 007 Legends

Matthew Razak

We have two more classic Bond films appearing in 007 Legends now with the announcement that License to Kill and Die Another Day coming out of gamescom. With this announcement it's pretty clear that the game will feature a movie from each actor to play Bond leaving the last film to show up in the game to be one of Sean Connery's. Considering From Russia With Love has already been turned into a game itself, I'm going with either Dr. No or Goldfinger. Probably the latter since it's a bit more gadget and action filled.

You can check out the trailer for the two new levels above and screenshots below. This is easily the best put together trailer, and actually makes the gameplay look a lot more fun than previous ones. It also lets us know that the game will not be strictly first-person, as vehicles will once again be returning to the franchise. What is oddly missing is Halle Berry's likeness from Die Another Day, but hopefully she's there just not shown.

They also say there are two more films to reveal, but it's already been stated that one of those is the upcoming Skyfall so really there's just one more.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

Damn. This game is either going to be packed with content or ridiculously short.
I'd guess Thunderball would be the one for Sean Connery.
@Arch: and I guess your mother's a whore.

Trebeck.
SO is this game about playing thru all the movies? Missions throughout the movies? Multiplayer with every bond actor as a playable character? I am still so confused at what it actually is. Goldeneye killer perhaps?
License to Kill is a fine choice, but Die Another Day? The worst Brosnan film, and arguably the worst Bond film? I'd have thought Tomorrow Never Dies or World is Not Enough would've been better choices.
And by classic Bond film, we actually mean the horrible, horrible Pierce Brosnan one with the diamond space laser.
Die Another Day?
That's like the worst film ever made.

In before Thunderball.
@Paul Stone: Of course, Die Another Day is the one Brosnan film to not have been turned into a game. GoldenEye needs no description, TND was a third-person shooter IIRC, TWENY was another FPS.
GrimmTrixX: Seeing as the trailer shows Daniel Craig in the Moonraker spacesuit, I guess only his likeness used exclusively as Bond.

LoopyChew: You're right, Tomorrow Never Dies was a third-person shooter on PS1, but you're terrible with acronyms. (The World is Not Enough = TWENY? =P)
wow this will be very short game given the fact that they only included final parts of each movie. i kinda hoped it would be a mix of last Bond and a little bit of detective work with gadgets.
disappointing that Craig is going to be bond all the way through this, he's far from my favourite bond. License to Kill is my favourite Bond film so i'm glad it's making an appearance.

as mentioned DAD sucked and while i understand that it was probably the only Brosnan film that still had the game rights still up for grabs if Brosnan isn't even going to play bond then what's the point?
If you honestly don't think the hovercraft bit from Die Another Day will make a great game setpiece, then ye can stick yer Goldeneye right up yer arse.
is anyone gonna buy this bullshit? i mean really wtf this looks like ASS like all bond games besides golodeneye
Needs more Wayne Newton.
I bet the Sean Connery film is gonna be 'Never Say Never Again'. Not even a real Bond film, but a weak-sauce remake of Thunderball. Why did they choose the weakest Bond films, including the terrible Die Another Day, where the action scenes and drama makes Michael Bay look like Kubrick?
@AdamskiOwenov: Doubtful, since the Bond game license comes from EON films. Connery's Bond movie they'll probably manage to actually get right (Goldfinger).
DIE ANOTHER DAY?!? ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH, THAT MOVIE SUCKED.

Seriously though, it would at least be a decent setting for a game, but the memories, heavens above, THE MEMORIES...

Yeah, I'd like a Goldfinger-themed part of this game, but Diamonds are Forever has some good action highlights too...
I loved Goldeneye on Wii. I want to play this, but I can't imagine enjoying it without a Wiimote. Here's hoping for a WiiU port.
