Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask will be my very first Professor Layton. This game, which I've learned is the fifth in the series, has just launched for the 3DS.
With the huge following this franchise has gathered, I don't know how I've somehow missed the series up until now. Its puzzles and art style are right up my alley, and I love the idea of the free daily downloadable puzzles, which will add 365 more brain busters to the existing ones, starting yesterday.
Miracle Mask is here on my office desk, waiting for me to finish my morning duties. Do any of you series fans out there have guidance for a first timer? Pointers? Cautions? Am I going to miss anything in the way of story?
Related: Club Nintendo owners who download and register Miracle Mask before January 6 will nab a free download code for Donkey Kong: Original Edition. This game was never released in the US, and is not available for purchase.
