Horn gets its first trailer, RAWR LET'S HATE IT RAWR!

Ever since Phosphor Games announced that mobile gaming is replacing console gaming, it's become something of a villain. While its last game, Dark Meadow, was excellent, any talk of the upcoming Horn has been flavored with vitriol and disgust for the entire idea of touch-based gameplay. Such is the way of the Internet.

I don't necessarily agree with the statement (why are devs always looking to replace things?) but I don't see how the sentiment has any bearing on the game itself.

Haters are invariably going to hate, but I am looking forward to Horn. Of course, I'm one of the apparent "spastics" who are too casual for your manly hardcore console games, so that'll probably be why. You can't enjoy both mobile and console and PC gaming, you see. We stand with one, or we die with nothing!

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

RAWR! I HATE IT AND I CAN'T EVEN SEE IT! RAAAAAAWR! /sarcasm
I don't mobile game because I can't really with my disability. Same with console gaming. Does it mean I hate them? Heck no. I grew up on console gaming. Consoles will always have a place in my home. Mobile gaming is great too. Helped get me through some hard times when I was unemployed and looking for work a few years back. I do prefer PC however, but won't ever give my love up for the other two.
But we've already seen a trailer for it ages ago. This would be the second trailer. I'M SO PIG SPLITTING MAD!
¨You can't enjoy both mobile and console and PC gaming, you see. We stand with one, or we die with nothing!¨

Haha so funny, I wish we could live in a world where people just play what they like and leave others in peace. I do like pc and console gaming, I don´t play mobile because I´m too lazy to buy a smartphone but it´s good to see that is doing great.
I play games on consoles, pc and mobile. They each have different merits and I don't really prefer one or the other. Console gaming won't be replaced by mobile gaming just as pc gaming wasn't replaced by console gaming. I don't hate Phosphor for the statement I just rolled my eyes and carried on. Horn looks like it could be pretty good.
Looks pretty neat to me. I don't have a lot of opportunities to sink time into mobile games (no long commute to work etc) but I'm glad that those who do get some quality options like this.
My thing with touch controls is that my giant fucking hands block everything I should be looking at. I can stretch an octave and a half (for you piano players) and still have some maneuvering room. I can barely work with controllers/mice as it is, having my hands block the play-space too is just a hassle.
The only problem I see is the enemy design. They look a little too... I dunno... not really generic, but not really exciting. Dull.

Everything else looked pretty good.
I personally don't care on what device or system a game is on. All I care about is if the game is fun,as really thats what you want from a video game. Heck, making it prior to a specific device would make it so you have more room to perfect or fix issues in controls, environments,AI and so forth. So I'm interested to see how this game will turn out on a mobile device.
I don't mobil game at all but still it looks nice. Still people are going to hate about stuff and I am still not going to mobil game unless they release Shining Force 3 on it.
It has the animations of a N64 game and the texturing of an 10 year old PC game. That's actually not bad for a mobile game. Still not really interested in anything that comes out for an iphone or what not. I might be open to Ouya though.
This makes me so mad that I could buy a non-smartphone.
TOUCH TO WIN!
Dark Meadow had been ruined by micro-transaction design by the time I got to it. My paid version basically amounted to a few free items at the beginning of the game. While I feel like I would have enjoyed it had it had been balanced properly...I can't see traditional gaming platforms ever being completely replaced where there's shit like that. I also can't say I'm looking forward to this if they plan to repeat history.
I wouldnt say Phosphor are villains, just idiots destined to fail
I was all ready to make a joke about "getting the horn", but then saw the Zynga logo. I can over look the developer's silly comments, but that's a deal breaker.
looks like a game i would love to play on my phone
if i was home with a console nearby would i play it then ... probably not
but as far as a mobile game goes ide pay for it
I don't hate on them, I just hate the 'tude from mobile devs. You're not rebuilding the wheel, you're just making a different type of game. A different type of control option/input does not a gaming revolution make.
Am I the only one getting a Shadows of the Colossus as well as an Ico vibe?
