Podtoid 191: Beef Tips On Your Face photo

On this week's episode of Podtoid, Jim Sterling promotes himself to the position of Jonathan Holmes' personal social worker, we learn the terror of chugging Monster Energy and coffee on an empty stomach, and we chat a little bit about transgenderism. You know, the usual things that a videogame podcast should talk about. Oh, and beef tips. On a commemorative plate.

Games come up a bit, with chatter about the PlayStation Vita, our perfect Adventure Time game, and ... uh, there was something else. You know how it goes.

As ever, you can subscribe to us on iTunes and RSSbuy our Android App or download directly!

Damn it, Jim. Now I'm hungry.
I'm always hungry for Jonathan Holmes' beef tip...
Paused the podcast. Popped a pizza in the oven. Resumed the podcast.
Jim, that was a great impression at the beginning! As soon as I heard it I knew I thought of Bishop! Fucking Brilliant! Can we have some Hudson impressions next week, please?!
I'm really disturbed by Jim's inability to be attracted to people with facial hair. :(
You manage a decent-to-good show even without a third person. When you get to pick one I hope it's going to be someone interesting (not like that Sammit fellow, he's pretty dull). Max was such a cool guy, I miss him. I don't miss Tara though, she barely said anything.
Holmes should be forced by Dtoid to do a podtoid by himself.

i want to see the mental, depraved depths that incredible mind goes to!
@nfm1337

Its not that weird, Just look at Holmesys beard. All prickley, very harsh and uninviting. How the fuck could anyone willingly rest their scrotum on such treacherous terrain?

I prefer my Holmes shaven in all his soft caramel brown boy goodness. :)
I got beef tips at Jiggles this one time...
Fuck, now I gotta go to London and get me some Bodean's burnt ends. Emergancy Dtoid EU NARP, anyone?
I always enjoy when the Dtoid crew impersonates other members of the team. Good job Holmes!
It was a bit low on energy but I loved it as always. If a new member of podtoid is going to join I'm voting for Conrad Zimmerman or Hamza Aziz. I wish I could tickle Holmes until he screams.
Holmes was right, this was a great episode. It was pretty calm and not as long as Lord of The Rings, so that's a plus. Surprised that Holmes didn't bring up that issue of story in the Adventure Time talk. If I recall, Ward said he wants to focus on story when he makes a game. Makes sense though, looking at Adventure Time and all. That show does have a story you know, admit it Holmes! (remember, we talked about this on Twitter :3 )

@nfm1337

Dude beards and facial hair is gross, I'm personally unable to be attracted to guys with it. Also no shaved heads either, give me long, feminine hair. So yeah, no Holmes for me. My requirements for guys are kinda strict though, you basically have to be a Final Fantasy character.
I like that Podtoid isn't always the same thing. Sometimes there's yelling and threats of sodomy, and sometimes there's substantive video game and Adventure Time discussion. Sometimes there's both.

Proposed slogan: "Podtoid: it keeps you on your toes."

Alternate slogan: "Podtoid: head on a swivel, cunts!"
Why is this episode not called 'Gay Nightclub Sex Simulator'?

Letting the side down Jim.
@Noir: I'm only attracted to people who aren't shallow, I guess you and I were never meant to be. :(
So Pokémon is a metaphor for Gay Sex? Somehow, I always knew ^_^

Flixist reviewed Silent Hill: Revelations 3D!

Matthew Razak was scheduled to promote the review for Silent Hill: Revelations 3D over on Flixist, but apparently his stupid office has Destructoid blocked. Can't think why! In any case, it falls to me to do the cross-pollina...   more

Impressions: New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC #2

First-party Nintendo DLC is a weird concept indeed, but at this point, I'm starting to get used to it. Despite the fact that one of the three Coin Packs in the last set of New Super Mario Bros. 2 add-ons wasn't up to snuff, N...   more

Exclusive: Ragnarok Odyssey OST with Kumi Tanioka

Ragnarok Online had one of the best soundtracks of all time. For that reason alone, I've since gravitated to anything related to the franchise. However, while soundTeMP (the Korean sound studio responsible for RO's soundtrack...   more

Destructoid's 2012 budget desktop guide

Last year, in preparation for Battlefield 3, Alex Bout created a basic part list that could run the game with moderate settings and a solid frame rate. This year, I wanted to see how much further we could push the specs on more or less the same budget. I was pretty surprised by what I found.   more
