Podtoid 190: Cerebral Pal-Z

Yes, the rumors are true. Max Scoville is off to fight in the great war and send Jerry running for the hills. It's going to be his last show for some time, but he definitely saved his best joke for this special little episode. Elsewhere, we chat about bigotry, parenthood, the cultural significance of Ratt and whether or not Juggalos poop in their trousers.

Also, the decadent Lust Gurney fops make their grand return for one convoluted, awkward appearance.

Somewhere we mention videogames. I think we bring up Asura's Wrath and Seaman on the 3DS. Maybe something else, but who cares? Max is dead you idiot!

Can't listen for a while, where is max going? Is he leaving dtoid or just the podcast?
He's leaving dtoid to pursue his gigolo career full-time. Also he has cancer.
Lol I knew it was only a matter of time before Max left once Tara did.

I really hope you guys get a third or fourth person on. As much as I love the Sterling+Holmes combo, it's more enjoyable to when there's more than 2 people complimenting and telling how much they enjoy each other's work methods/life/handling of things/etc for 2 hours :p
Max had to leave Podtoid for the same reason Tara did. Full-time Dtoid Show work crept in.
Will have to listen later but I'm guessing by the header my question was brought up!
Well I think we all saw this coming.....The Lust Gurney was his best episode, I'm glad it made a small return this week.
Pfft, I reckon they're both just pulling a Tiff.

I kid, I kid.

Sad to see Max go - hurrah for The Comedy Button though. Still, Podtoid won't be quite the same. Good night sweet etc etc etc.
Forgot to ask, can you guys have Maurice Tan and Jon Carnage make some guest appearances?
The documentary Max was referring to is actually called American Juggalo. While you're at it don't forget to check out Mid-Life Juggalo too.
@caraleo

Tommy Wiseau has appeared on Podtoid. It was terrible.
Full time resume layout? Crap, sounds like a big promotion!
Yay now podtoid will be 100% douche free.
@krimey: The same unfortunately can't be said for Podtoid's audience, eh?

Sucks that you're going, Max. :( I hope you replace Podtoid with something equally as fulfilling. Probably it'll be work though.
I thought Max was dead. Wtf?
Here you go Jim, just incase you thought that there were no decent insults of the British. Also, Island monkey.
http://www.insults.net/html/world/england.html
Keran Butt is correct. I had to leave because I am now a full-time broken hyperlink to an essay corrector.
This is quite disappointing. Max and Jim were my main reasons for listening.
So we are now stuck with fat tits and the other guy ?

Damn
Goodbye horses and Max Scoville.
The homoeroticism in this one was fabulous!

Sad to see Max go, but there's still the Dtoid show and guest appearances on new challenger.
Wow, what a shame. Podtoid definitely won't be as good now. SterlingxHolmes date rape comedy hour is nice and all, but it'll only be funny for so long. Hopefully you guys can spice up this X-rated romance.

It's also a shame that Max will quit the great Podtoid to continue the lackluster Dtoid Show, which is mostly just rephrasing news I read hours ago. I like Casual Friday though, so there's that.
I will not stand for this injustice!!!
Max was great on podtoid, especially in those earlier episodes. It was clear in the last few episodes that full-time employment would get in the way of podtoid.

IS there any chance Brad Nicholson can come back on podtoid?
You have a nice mouth-shape, dog.
Good night sweet Max, :P. I had a feeling that Max would leave coz he was always leaving early anyways, i hope you guys get at least one other person on podtoid coz as good as the Holmes/Jim duo is i think a podcast needs at least 3 people on it. PS: Lust Gurney was my favourite episode of podtoid so far, i regularly go back and listen to it coz it was just so damn funny, especially when you's were worrying whether you had crossed the line! Lol
I agree with StrawberryMind. If you can get Samit back, why not Brad or Aaron Linde?
Max, are you still going to do the Comedy Button? If so can you maybe not and use that time for podtoid instead? :)

Podtoid with you and the gang are seriously some of the best moments I have when remembering the long drive to my comic shop to buy DC stuff. Also, DIAF you Marvel-fanboy you! (/sarcasm about the last bit, meant the 'best moments' stuff though ^_^ )
It is unlikely that Podtoid will remains as just Jonathan Holmes and myself.
@ Philosophy

He said specifically that he's continuing to to the Comedy Button because that is recorded after work. Podtoid is recorded during his work hours, so it's no longer possible to continue. It's not like he chose one over the other.
@Jim

Great to hear :D

You should try to get Anthony to guest star on one episode if he's still in contact! It would awesome - he'll basically be like Samit except indiebeard instead of sports.
Oh yeah i second the that Anthony should be on he would be funny, just know that whoever you get on better not like to talk too much about videogames coz we all know we dont come here for videogame talk!
Leave it to Revision 3 to ruin one of my favorite podcasts. It's just a thing they do over there apparently. I will still listen to Podtoid though because Jim and Holmes are awesome and so funny together, I just hope the new additions aren't annoying.

Keep up the great work, Jim.

P.S. Don't try to talk me out of my pure hatred for Rev3. I will blame them even if it isn't their fault.
Max left because of his growing discomfort speaking about paedophilia. He was convicted of paedophilia some years back, it was a dark period for him.
