The game is gonna be shit, but I think everyone knew that already

That was possibly the worst commercial they could have done. I am sure the guy has more talent than that, but I guess he had to live up to the standard of the game, which by all accounts is basically boring and shit.

If this were some game where you were swinging a katana it would probably be Meh at best. I mean look at SWTOR, its a run of the mill MMO wrapped up in a starwars package where you swing lightsabers, thus it becomes amazing.

Yeah he is pretty funny in Parks and Rec but it looks like even he knows this game is going to be shit. It's like he is mocking it instead of promoting it. Which, if that were the case, would be pretty funny.

you couldn't be any more wrong. Pretty much all Kinect games eschew gameplay footage for footage of people playing the game in their living rooms, and look how well all of those games turned...

They are really doing a number on those original episodes. That looks nothing like how I remember it.

I didn't think it could be Chris Pratt since Jim called him a wannabe. Seriously, Parks and Rec is worth watching so this mistake isn't made again.

Commercial wasn't so bad but the game hasn't impressed me much as all.

Commercial is bad, but that guy is nothing like Jack Black. One episode of Parks and Recreation is funnier than anything Jack Black has been in.

I didn't chuckle--I just got angry at myself for watching the whole thing. But the E3 footage of the game is pretty damn funny though.

Almost as bad as the "Back to the Future" MS conference or that Bill Gates Doom thing...

This "guy", Chris Pratt, plays a hilarious character on Parks and Rec, which recently gained an Emmy nod, and also recently appeared in the successful film Moneyball. I'm not saying this is warrant for a "you should know him!!!", but it makes you look like a pompous ass when you discredit someone who's career is on the rise and chalk him up to "Jack Black wannabe". Sure the game might blow, but give the dude some credit.

Considering I always thought Star Wars as stupid as an adult(loved it as a kid), this seemed reasonable seeing someone take it up on it's stupidity and troll Darth Vader. I smiled.

Yeah, besides Parks & Rec, Chris Pratt also had a pretty sizeable role in the recently Oscar-nominated Moneyball, which is definitely worth a watch if you've yet to see it.

Epic meh factor. Give me a good motion Star Wars game on Move and I might buy it and the camera+controller. I'm okay with the waving my hands around if it's a property I care about. I just need something tactile, and I don't want some terrible on rails nonsense. I want what that old original trilogy arcade game from the '90s was trying to be, but desperately couldn't because of the limitations on the technology.

Brownie points for anyone who actually remembers what game I'm talking about.

Parks and Rec is better than Community, both of which pale in comparison to British TV comedies like The Office and Teachers, so I give Jim the benefit of the doubt because he's got a funny accent. But Jack Black is pretty abysmal more than he is genius.

I was almost expecting him to burst into song after that one delivery. I can see where you would get that Jack Black vibe from.

Honestly judging from that commercial I highly doubt it is being marketed towards the hardcore gamer market. So no, I doubt Microsoft thinks that we like this. Also, Pratt is pretty famous. He's been in a couple movies (e.g. Wanted) and is in a pretty darn good tv program, parks and rec., and at this point is probably, in the mind of the consumer, more

accessible than Jack Black.

Holy hell, it's Bert Macklin: FBI. I might not of "loved" this commercial but I didn't hate it either. Though I may have a soft spot for Andy Dwyer because Parks & Rec is probably one of my top 5 shows. (I don't mind community but I couldn't really get into it)

On another note Ron Swanson wants ALL your bacon and eggs.
