Chaos Rings II launches March 15, so watch a trailer

Square Enix has revealed that iOS RPG sequel Chaos Rings II is launching worldwide on March 15. It's also got a launch trailer, which you can stare at above.

I shall certainly be looking forward to this. I really dug the original Chaos Rings when it launched a few years back, and I'm hoping to see them switch stuff up this time. The prequel wasn't quite so good, but it felt like they'd squirted that out while the sequel was in development. Hopefully the sequel is where all the fun went.

So yeah, I want this to be a good thing, if that's not too much trouble.

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)

I'd love to see the Chaos Rings games ported to something with actual physical controls. I can't stand virtual analog sticks and buttons. My fat thumbs can't handle it! Give me a controller!
I just found about this yesterday (thanks stealth), I be stoked yo!
Yes!! Can't wait, about the only decent JRPG on ios.
Wow, the objective-c for this must have been a bitch to code.

This is beyond impressive, thanks a ton for sharing it Jim!
Huh...somehow, this game reminds me of Drakengard II, which I loved, by the way...

Definitely looking forward...
I'm hoping these get a Vita release. Add real controls, and put all 3 on a Vita cart. I'll buy it.
I thought the controls for the first one were just fine... and the virtual 'stick' appeared wherever you touched the screen, so it wasn't one of those games where you had to carefully position your fingers.
